I remember I played in the TTAB Texas state tournament when I was in 6th grade. We stayed in a hotel where there were a bunch of other baseball teams and we played baseball with him and some of his teammates in the swimming pool. The next thing you know, he is playing in the LLWS and then became a 1st round draft pick. I thought it was kind of cool.

i agree that a little more extension would give him more power. but in his defense i dont think he needs it. its not like hes hitting wallscrapers. hes hitting flat out bombs. i think his amazingly short compact swing will do him just fine.

@aliendrone123 Wrong. Getting tired of reading this and HAVING to inform people. There is NO extension in a baseball swing. It comes after you make contact because you have to decellerate the bat head or else your shoulders will come out of there sockets. The best hitters and the best swings of all time don't deviate elbow angles throughout their swing and just rotate on an axis. It's how you create the earliest, and most batspeed. It's physics.

I remember watching Grichuk play in the Little League World Series years ago....I remember thinking that this kid had something special, and I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be an amazing ballplayer....I was watching the Bryce Harper videos when I realized Grichuk was one of the five finalists at the Power Showcase....nice to see he has done a great job of developing his natural talent....I can't wait to see how he performs in the Majors!

because it goes by rounds. you could hit 25 hrs in one round and then hit 0 in the next and you're eliminated. while the next guy got through by hitting 5 hrs in 4 rounds for 20.
