Looking back at my time in Jr. High, you have to admit that education in the school system is just not interesting at that age. I knew a girl back in high school that was affected by this. She was curvy before but ended up starving herself senior year because she hated the attention from older males. It doesn't happen by and large but if her parents had been around more things probably would have turned out differently.

You and I may not be impressed. Many other women may not be impressed by that sort of behavior, but sadly there is a sector of women in our community who are. Are these women the majority? I don't know, but I know that these guys behave that way to impress them, to a certain degree.

A point to remember is, a person(male or female) can not be corrupted or influenced unless they open themselves up to it. We've all had to deal with peer pressure, and had to make the choice whether to become a follower or a leader.

Most young boy/males will not listen to, or be influenced by a woman, unless he is receptive to it. Which is why boys/young males will listen to their fathers, brothers, or male authority in their lives before they will listen to their mom, sister, or other women.

I can't agree with this. This almost seems like an excuse to blame females for your own shortcomings. Many children are hitting puberty earlier than they did a decade ago due to the additives in food. Girls are not to blame the parents are. It's their responsibility to ingrain positive values into those boys. All of this starts at home and I'm sick of hearing excuses for perpetuating the same cycle. I've noticed over time that a good number of people born from the mid 1950's up thru about the late 1960's have, to varying degrees, been involved in drug use with various detrimental effects. Times have changed. Back when I was in school, it was the boys who pressured other boys to act a certain way. As with my brothers who were smart, bookworm types, but got beaten up and pressured from other boys to act "cool", and to stop being a "bitch".

As for girls(I mean girls not women), of all races, they tend to go for the boy who they see as being "cooler" or more outgoing than the smart, shy guy.

The smart guy(perceived as shy, nerdy, less masculine, unpopular) aren't seen as "Alpha males", but Beta or Omega males. So who do you think the girls will go for?

Young males and females have always conformed and changed themselves in an effort to fit into a certain image; one they felt would make them popular and acceptable to the opposite sex.

In today's culture it's the same, with the only difference being other races focusing on academics, despite those few who succumb to peer pressure and conform to the negative.

Great video Pink. Just recently, a young black teen was beaten to death by a group of other black teens. Why? because he was smart and making good grades in school. That's how deep it is.
