  • withouh atemis is very hard to dissarm an opponent, not realistic...

  • This is totally amazing stuff! I was starting to do this sort of thing with other martial arts practitioners as well. At first I was basically just getting diced up, but I was making progress by the end of the day. I really did not know that this sort of thing had even existed and I think that it is freaken AWESOME!

  • Competition Aikido needs weight class.

  • Interestingly enough this guy (who is significantly smaller) was the only guy to take Josh down all tournament. A small guy with enough speed and good timing can beat a bigger guy. However given equal skills bigger guys do have the advantage. This has been debated the entire twenty years I've been competing. I'd rather see age classes than weight classes, it's impossible for a fifty year old to match speed and reflexes with a twenty two year old.

  • Hey Rob! Sorry you couldn't make it to Japan, England in two years, start planning ahead now!!!

  • Absolutely!

  • Great to see this match!

    Thanks for adding

  • Thanks, do you practice Tomiki Ryu?

  • Yeah, I'm Rob, I'm in Ari's Dojo. I was actually planning on going to Japan and competing Kyu Junanahon (and of course getting eliminated in the first or second round of tanto randori and toshu randori). Unfortunately I couldn't make the investment to get there.
