  • It's like a Les Paul shaped like an Explorer.

  • Was that Saxon...English Man-O-War?

    Beautiful guitar and smooth tone.

  • @pedraw Thanks for the nice comment on the guitar and tone. This riff is Dio 'Stand Up & Shout'.... and the solo thing was just mine messing about. Cheers mate.

  • Wow man your playing is fantastic your speed and clarity is superb to my ears great gear and great job Marshall and Mesa rules woooooo

  • @ronoc931 Thank you mate, it is very nice of you to say so. All the best.

  • Very nice (: Where did u buy the guitar?

I'm searching and searching .. but i didn't found it!

  • @Directorfc Hamer are now owned by Fender... here in the UK it is impossible to buy a new Hamer Standard USA.I suppose a special order only. In the USA I am not sure who the Fender dealers are... but Fender or Hamer should be able to let you know where sells them. A few come up secondhand... they get bought pretty quickly if they are nice.

If you are serious look for guitars for sale on the Hamer forum nice ones sell there before ebay some special 'known' guitars on that forum.

  • are these marshalls reissue/new???

    thanks

  • @plexilespaull one off made by Marshall. I asked if I could have an effects loop in the back, so they put a plexiglass panel in and put a loop in for me, signed by Dr Jim, it is a complete one off.. you can read the story and why Marshall made it for me... it is the most valuable thing I own sentimentally. There are other pink ones, but this is the only 2204 made.

For the story behind it just google Caron Keating Pink Marshall

  • Those Marshalls are the most metal things I've ever seen... Frikkin' sick :L

  • @MilesTodd Thanks Miles, there is a story behind Marshall making them... for the story just google Pink Marshall stacks and you will see the Caron Keating Marshalls... these are they! Rock on mate!

  • @BigNorthernLad Wouldn't mind one myself to be honest, great tone from them too. Thumbs up :-)

  • Awesome set up!

  • The pink Marshalls are so metal dude, I want one! =D

You got great tone and good playing skills, very bluesy but you can shred too. =P

  • @DJParkesie959II Thanks very much mate, your comment is appreciated!

  • STAND UP AND SHOUT ...... SHOUT!!!!!

  • Great video! Cool riffiing on Stand Up and Shout. Nice tone on your setup. Thumbs up!

  • nice sounding riff...Stand Up and Shout.....sounds awesome.

  • Finally: So for stereo you need two heads, but you can use one cab. The Marshall 1960 A and B 4 x 12 cabs are stereo so you can put two heads into one. 2 speakers for one amp and 2 speakers for the second. There is a third way using a Y-splitter with the rack in the loop of one head only - this my preferred method but it can cause ground hum issues so we will not go into it here. Ha ha bet you wished you never asked ha ha!

  • Part 4: 2) For true stereo you need 2 heads. Look at some stars set ups on YouTube Doug Aldrich or Neal Schon always 2 Marshall heads in their gear one for the racks wet effected signal one dry. Here you need the guitar into the rack Rack output 1 to first head input. Rack output 2 to the second head input. One signal wet one dry.

  • Part 3: Q: If not, what is the best way to get stereo effects from this type of amp? Two ways to run a stereo rack with a amp head: 1) not stereo but a mixed effect as I did on this clip. Guitar into front of amp head. Rack is in the effects loop of the head and the cabs run from the head output. So it is really guitar into amp - pre amp into effects rack in the loop then the rack returns it to the internal power stage of the amp. The amp then outputs it to a cab.

  • Part 2: Q: If i had a stereo effects unit, could i run the output from the back of the head into the unit, and then from the stereo outs into two cabs? A: No, the output from a rack as you described will not work into cabs. In addition you run the risk of damaging both the head and rack by pushing 100/50watts output from the head into the rack effects. Always the cabs are run from a heads speaker outputs at the correct ohm setting. Be careful how you connect up mate.

  • Part 1: Q: One more unrelated question (I promise i won't bother you again :S) A: Unchain that's ok no problem mate ask away any questions I will help if I can. Your question is complex so I have put my answer in parts within the video comments in parts due to word limits. Note this clip is not stereo effect simply a mixed signal from the rack into the heads effects loop.

  • can you tell me a little more about your setup? you have great tone

  • @UnchainTheNight1 Thanks for your interest mate. Well it is a really simple set up as I am not very into effects.

It is a Hamer USA Standard, tone backed off to maximum treble cut into a Marshall 2204 with a TC Electronic G Major giving just a little delay in the amps effects loop. That is it.

It is a special amp btw. Come over to the marshallforum we have some great tones over there, you would be welcome. Say hi to me if you do - j2112c. All this comes from a good guitar and driven tube amp

  • @j2112c On another one of your videos I also posted a comment about your guitar, is it an original Hamer, or is it one of those import reissues? If it's an original, do you know anything about the quality of the imported ones? Also, I will check out the marshallforum.

  • @UnchainTheNight1 It is is USA, the imports have the name on the end, but not the quality, wood or tone - I tried them. USA's are getting difficult to find here in Europe but you can find them on Craiglist in the US. If you get the opportunity to buy one do it you will not regret it they are guitars for life and very versatile - they have great clean tones - you can play jazz on them.

I am not sure what value tone pot they used for the tone control but it gives a unique sound I cant replicate.
