well, steve, i'm a HUGE habs fan and i'll tell you why we watch your videos! First of all, you're great at what you do with your videos. Second, i'm a habs fan, but first of all a HOCKEY fan, so i like to keep updated on what goes on primarily with our greatest rivals, the toronto maple leafs and the boston bruins. Third, i enjoy seeing what someone thinks of their team when it won`t make the playoffs for the third year in a row (hasen`t happened to us since... i`m too lazy to check). Cheers!

Has any other coach asked for a stick measure recently? The last one I remember was also by Ron Wilson when he was still with the Sharks lol. He asked for one against Selanne in overtime to negate the Ducks' power play, and I think the Sharks won it in a shootout.

...and carbo is a good coach but gainey had to axe him, he had lost the players and had a bad relationship with kovy. it was some time coming. but the way you say "murray did it with the sens last year, and we all know how that turned out in the playoffs" seriously steve? pit and nyr changed coaches in the last month too, but for some reason you do not suggest THEY will be swept in the 1st round as you are suggesting will happen to the habs. i find that biased.

Your habs team reminds me of the Sens team from last year...too many off-ice distractions. Also, thanks to Gainey, most of the key players aren't even signed...what kind of team is that? How are they suppose to become a team, when they don't even know who will be where next year? If they do manage to make the playoffs, they won't last long...I don't think Pit or the Rangers will either.

Why would the Leafs play Gerber against his team--I think it would have been too soon. His former team mates know how he plays, his strengths and weaknesses. So I'm not hating on the decision.

Gainey made a great move, we all kinda knew that it was coming but why did he have to do it with only 16 games left in the season he should have done it way befor this stage in the season!!!!!!!! Good move Bob

First of all, they didn't measure the curve as the NHL has removed that rule. All curves are legal. What they measured was the width of his blade as many players shave them down.

And the penalty for breaking your stick before a measurement also includes a 10 minute misconduct.

I was impressed with oreskovic's game yesterday. He didn't play too bad at all, and it was hardly his fault on the goal where the puck skipped over White's stick. The ice there looked terrible all night long.

Actually, they measured his stick for illegal width, not curve.

I do not know why that there is the stick curve rule in place to begin with. It is a personal preference of the player, if you give a guy you uses a minor curve, a stick with a super curve I doubt he will score more goals, in fact he would probably score less. Also there is the tradeoff between the backhand, and the forehand shot. It all comes down to the player.

Oreskovic skating around before anyone else hit the ice wasn't that bad considering there were very few Sens fans there before the game. He played well though

coaches get fired all to often in sports. In football yes it means something, but in hockey not really in fact bringing in a new coach this late in the sseason will probably affect the habs negatively

ottawa is a terrible hockey team and theyve been sub par at best. in hockey a coach isnt calling plays or doing anythign significant. the standards in montreal are too high and the players there are not as good as their fans claim them to be.

Who goes on and how a team goes about its business on ice is all up to a coach, so you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

2) Emotionnaly I was very attached to Guy Carbonneau but for the games scheduled to come Gainey might win betterly because everybody wants to show he is a good boy under the eyes of God

3) Illegal curves ease the pain so I think it's maby lazy to use those sticks : should be checked once in a while.

The illegal curve point is a good one Steve. There should definitely be more inspection of sticks and more consequences for the use of illegal ones. P.S it was cool how just after I watched your Edmonton video today this one was posted lol.
