I think it took SW like 5 minutes to create the whole album. I mean, he took some riff from 'In absentia', some idea from 'Stupid dream', a drum figure from whatever other song / album... put them together and voilá! There you go! An incredibly boring piece of shit that, however, is cashing in from this very recent PT euphoria. Wilson have completely sold out and, in my opinion, has not a cent of credibility anymore.

I've always preferred listening to Steven Wilson + Porcupine Tree with the video clip. Lasse Hoile and Steven Wilson just think of the most aesthetically awesome video clips and they always really enhance the music i find.

@saxnlaniwl Please understand that Wilson, like most artists, has many facets to his personality and creativity, and is not trying to accomplish the same things with Porcupine Tree that he does in his solo work. He considers Porcupine Tree to have a particular sound and stays true to that vision.

His solo work, and his work with Bass Communion, tend more toward the experimental and bizarre, and would not be suited to Porcupine Tree. This detracts from neither - they are simply different.

Of all the album samples, this was the track that sounded like it would appeal to me least. I shouldn't have been so quick to judge though - the complete song is very nice! I really like the string arrangement and the video is wonderfully atmospheric. I can't wait to hear the rest!
