I was on a cruise recently in Florida to the Bahamas and this played on their sound system one morning on the deck while having breakfast, I hadn't heard this since the 70's in California, Home. I went wow, what memories went through my mind.
A very nice song, this could be a hit today for the younger generation that have not been expose to this piece. Love goes on. They should fit this in with contemporary music on Jazz and Love specials eg. Art Laboa.
This is the song that introduced me to Patti Austin. I think this was her breakout LP. It is timeless, just as beautiful today as it was in 76. CTI, Creed Taylor label, Eric Gale, Brecker, Gadd, tight tight musicians.And Patti is still going strong. This Side of Heaven was another favorite track on this LP.

This song reminds me of my beautiful mother. This was one of her favorite songs. I remember her playing it and singing to it.

This song was very deep for me, in 1978. Unfortunately he didn't get it! Yet, 33 yrs. later he reappears. What can I say.....time will tell.
