uhh, no! Dancing With the Stars is copying them! Do you think this dancing was created by that program. I taught this dancing for nine years. They are incredible. The best I have seen in Juniors (12-16) ever! They are from Eastern Europe. One year at the US National Championships there were 16 couples, 8 in Smooth (Ballroom) and 8 in Latin. Of the 16 women competing, 11 were from Russia or Ukraine, and almost as many Slavic men. That is their tradition. And they are the best!

If you saw them at the National Championships, Anna wears among the most conservative costumes. Yes for a 12 year old they are a little sexy but not very much compared to the other girls. They are exercizing traditional Latin moves and gestures. They probably don't even see it in a "sexy" light. They just dance. Howie is a little goofy and has probably never even seen any of this type of competition.

Sometimes perhaps a little too much! The role of the man is to present the girl, and he should never overwhelm her. But he is sort of a Michael Jackson of Ballroom and so he shows it. They are fantastic. You can find videos of them at the 2010 Nationals. They are the only Junior couple to compete in 10 Dancee, all 10 dance styles of Ballroom (smooth) and Latin.
