    pretty much teaching myself..

but i'm catching onto this pretty well..

i'm having to practice insanely. but thankkkyou:)

    chech out my videoos? :)

  • Thanks for the comment and keep n practicing!!

  • i got it:)

    thankk you so so much.

i was trying to learn this for my momma

    it's her favorite.

  • omg i cant do it! i am a beginner and dont know a singel chord. and you are just making it worser by playing as a pro :D you know where i can learn the chords and play them pretty fast? Btw great video!

  • Check out the chord diagrams at the start of the song to see where to put your fingers to play the chords. I suggest you might want to start with something easier like Knockin on Heavens Door, check out my lesson on it, it is a good starting song

  • Hey guys, thanks for your guitar lesson. There's just a mistake on your details on the right. Because on the video you say :

    Cadd9 ; G --> DU X* UUDU; D X* DUDU

and on your details(writting on the right) you say :

    Cadd9 ; G --> DU XU* UDU; D X D* UDU

Well, sorry for my english mistakes :)

    Hope someone will answer me.

    Good job !

  • Hey thanks for pointing that out, I think I changed my mind on how to show when you change chords, I think the asterix before the change is makes more sense so go with the video

  • Tip: I learned from Mike Herberts - If you don't own a capo you could just get a pencil and a rubber band - It should work fine. :)

  • Yep that does work or you could just buy a capo, they are really cheap

  • can you send me the tab?

  • Is it a problem if you don't have that thing on your guitar cuz i dont have it

    I'm a beginner so..

    thanks

  • That "thing" is called a Capo, it only means that you can't play the song in the original key so therefore you can't play along with a recording

  • You will still be able to play it, it will just be in a different key. Play it like the capo (thing on the guitar) fret 0.

  • great lesson, made it simple and easy. Thanks Heaps

  • No problem at all, glad you liked it!!!!!

  • thanks a lot...keep goin`..

  • No problem, thanks for the comment!!!

  • thanks so much!

  • No problem, glad you found it useful!!

  • oh ya i ment tanks!!:L

  • No problem at all, happy to help out

  • yaaaaaaaaay!:D

  • Thanks I guess?????

  • Just right. Good stuff.

  • Thanks

  • i love this song :)

  • One of my favourites also

  • Thanks mate

  • No problem

  • Im just wondering... how did you play the chords. With a pick or you fingers. I have a hard time with fingers because I bite my nails... :'(

  • With a pick, it sounds much nicer, I don't like the sound of strumming with fingers, not clean enough.

  • try to take a G instead of Em7 in the verse i think it sounds better :)

  • Yep that would also work

  • you are the man.

  • Thankyou

  • Thanks for sharing! Watch and learn is fun:)

  • Glad you liked it, thanks for the comment!!!!

  • I hope you can take the bad with the good....I have played this song for some time and it's not correct. You are offering lessons playing the song incorrectly??

  • At no point have I ever said this is correct, all I have said is that this is my interpretation of the song, this is how we perform it live, so no I am not offering lessons playing the song incorrctly I am just showing how I do it. I get paid a lot of money to give private lessons but I thought I would do something for those who might not be able to affford proper lessons.

  • These are one of the songs that convinced me I needed to lean how to play guitar. Now I can finally do so with your help!

  • Good work on your part, well done

  • Hi Alvin,

    Nice work.

Can you send me the tab file please?

    Thanks,

    Cor.

  • Thanks a million for this.

  • No problem

  • I just spent a few hours playing along with your video for "Let Her Cry". Very nicely done and easy to follow. Thanks for posting James.

  • Glad you found it useful!!!!

  • thanks heaps, now i can play one of my favourite songs :D

  • and thanks for the comment!!!

  • Actually, instead of a capo, I just use a clothes pin. You know the thing you use to hang your clothes out to dry? It works just as well.

  • Yep that would also work!!!

  • a rubber band and pencil works very well as well.

  • Doesn't look so professional when I play gigs though!!!!!

  • do u have to have a kapo

  • Only if you want to sing/play it in the original key, it sounds fine not using a capo you just won't be able to play along with our version or the original. Capo's are pretty handy and relatively cheap (about $20 in Aus for a basic one) so it worth getting one.

  • STUPID QUESTION ALERT : what is a kapo and whats its purpose

  • It is like a clamp that fits over the neck of a guitar. It can be used for 2 purposes, firstly if a song is not in the right key for a singer then you can simply use a capo to put it in a higher key without having to play different chords. Secondly sometimes it is only possible to play a particular song using certain chords and to have it in the right key you need to use a capo to do this. You can also use a capo to avoid playing difficult chords such as bar chords.

  • hey i was just woundering is there anything that i could use instead of a kapo i havnt got one and dnt no were to find one so i was woundering if there was an easy substute that i could use

  • Have a look at the ther comments and you will find some suggestions that other use. You don't have to use one, you can play it open but it will be in a different key than our version (and the original). An music store will carry capo's and they are very cheap and extremely useful!!!

  • Great work! This is a really well put together and useful video lesson, well done. How can I get the tabs for this song?

  • ei man..thanks for the chords..great job..I combined your chords and the originals plucking..sounds good..^^

  • No problem, post a video up when you are finished so I can have a listen and also make sure you check out our cover of the song also!!

  • i wanna learn to play but i cant pick it up its well hard

  • This song can be a little tricky for beginners as they have difficulty changing chords half way through a bar. Try the chorus first as it uses one chord per bar at the start and uses a similar strum or alternatively try a different song such as Let It Be the beginner version using a capo which is a lot easier. Make sure you check out our cover of these songs by clicking on the video reply.
