Dude, I am building one right now! Can't believe you had the same idea, except I am doing a sweep to make a "projection oscilloscope" ...point the actuator with the laser at a mirror spinning perpendicular to the laser and watch what happens...an oscilloscope! So cool...nice job....check out my electric motor made from a hard drive...look up frequency controlled electric motor on youtube....SP
One thing i guess ya could have done to help others understand is, pause the music when your video'ing the laser image on the wall? That would have been neat :)
wow I think I remember you telling us about this at lunch or breakfast. the description would be more helpful if I knew more about electronics or I knew more about armatures. I think I get the gist of it though.
I think you're amazing and should play around with a tesla coil. and make a tutorial if you have time.
I probably will not make a detailed DIY tutorial in the near future. However if i do decide to make one i will be sure to let you know. ~Projectt2501
nevermind i found out how to make it, but its diffrent than yours. i took apart my boom box and glued a piece of an old cd to the plastic center of the speaker.
It looks so much better in real life. The display is much more seamless (no gaps in light). Oh well just thought I would share with you the project that has consumed the last 3 days of my life.
So far I think I am the first person to create a laser show using only a hard drive and a laser pointer.
nice circle.. :P
