Here is what I think the video is about,

Civilizations rise and fall, but as people get more money there is a religious element that is unhappy with the way things are run. so they destroy civilzation and start over as a theocracy, when the people who like earthly things like wealth and their achievements at their jobs are unhappy, they destroy civilization and start over in their image.

So  there is a constant battle between god and money that takes a toll on the planet
