What an interesting, ear-pleasing and uplifting arrangement! I absolutely adore the original, but you've somehow transformed it without destroying it! Gr8 job!
@tonypata If this song makes you tear up and gospel music moves your soul, maybe you should take another look at the subject at hand. I am walking proof you can't run from God forever, I was just saved and baptized this week after 25 years of running. I used to believe myself to be somewhat of a, hmmm. . . lets just say "a dark soul."
Wow, my friend, sorry because I haven't written to you.
I like this song, video and of course the arrangement. As always I have said about you, you are a very fantastic musician. I really love your work. I'm
I'm a big fan of the original track & the film. I thought I'd like to write and record an arrangement to accompany the a capella.
The original sticks to major chords produced by the different voices. I decided to put some different major chords at some points and some minor chords in,the idea being to bring out something different in the piece.
Sorry you didn't like it! Hopefully some other folk will, although no one's rated it positively yet! :(
It was a rhetorical question indeed. It's not so much that I didn't like it as that I think the original is so good I don't see how you could improve on it so, why? As in why try and why not try this kind of thing with a lesser piece? But of course that is all a matter of different tastes! :) Never the less, thank you for taking the time to answer! :)
BTW I don't think no rating means all that much in itself ;)
The additional organ and guitar flourishes were gorgeous . . . helped bring out the emotion within. Keep up the good work!

The Strattons have sung this in church on a couple occasions, and sung it beautifully. I would love for them to sing it again.

Yeah i understand your point. The original is great but i honestly wasn't trying to improve on it, cos as you say its not really possible
Also, its quite hard to find good a capellas to work with.
thanks for replying!
