  • Snap some shit up

  • One way ticket to SNAP CITY.

  • lmao gotta love crossfitter haters who havent tried a damn workout in their life.

  • The chin doesn't even get over the bar.

  • It's funny seeing people say "oh you have never tried crossfit so you don't know...". People said the same about p90x and shit like that..and I blew them out of the water. These just look plain homo. I'd get laughed at if I ever did this shit in the gym.

  • How many strict form dead hang pullups can he do?

  • I would hope he can do 10-15 deadhang pullups or he'd be another crossfit statistic of a SLAP tear because their trainers stress speed and momentum over form

NOBODY should kip if they can't do at least 10-15 deadhang pullups

  • @PushYourLimitsATX Crossfit Trainers do not stress speed and momentum over form, and if they do, they aren't certifed ;)

  • people get so stuck in their ways of training- NO it is not a deadhang pullup, NO it does not isolate the lats, NO- this isnt fucking bodybuilding, its crossfit- try the main site workouts for a week and then make a comment

  • Crossfit is gay

  • Wow

  • looks like he's trying to hump the air, do the centipede vertically or just plain look sily.

  • Most CrossFits still incorporate deadhangs or deadhang variations into their workouts. This is just a different exercise, it's like trying to compare a military press to a split jerk...they aren't the same, and one isn't better than the other because they have a different purpose. Butterfly or gymnastic kipping pullups work more of the core and give better cardio during a fast-paced workout, which is why they are often used. And I guarantee you this guy can do AT LEAST 15-20 deadhangs.

  • A lot of you guys don't seem to get it still. The point of kipping pullups is not to isolate specific muscle groups or to replace strict deadhang pullups. The point is to "do the most work in the least amount of time" which is equivalent to the most "power". The work being done is lifting the body from the lowest position with arms extended to a position with the chin over the bar. Regardless of how this is done, the amount of work done is the same, just by different muscle groups.

  • I was just waiting for him to smack his face on the bar on one of those revolutions (I won't call them pull-ups as they just aren't). And chest to bar? Eyebrows to bar MAYBE.

But hey, each to their own. I'm proud of my twenty PR strict wide grip pulls at 210lb as powerlifting assistance work. If this makes him happy, more power to him. Its a damn sight more exercise than most people do!

  • look at the guy in background he struggles to do one pull up :)

  • Nice Work 54 is very solid

  • Nice Work

  • Love how people hating tend to be huge gamers/general douchebags if you check out their page... Like tjack says dude is ripped. Obviously the pullups are working.

  • @KaeOh91 because gamers are all unfit and out of shape. you fucking retard.

  • Did you people see how big and ripped the guy was? I guess butterfly pullups are bullshit!

  • I think butterfly/kipping is harder than standard pull ups if your not a custom to it

  • @alexkohr Yeah, just like it's hard to wank 10 times a day if you are not accustomed to it, hehe...

  • looks gay lol

  • fucking impressive :D

  • DAMN I LAUGHED SO HARD AHAHAHA U LOOK LIKE A FUCKING FISH

  • 54 Butterfly Kipping Pull-ups, yet 0 real pull-ups FUCK YEAH CROSSFIT

  • @leetkingWIRE 1. Don't watch a video just to hate on it, troll. 2. You couldn't do 10 of these kipping pullups, let alone 54... Get back to sitting on your lazy ass and quit talking shit on Youtube.

  • @333DJH When did it become a rule that people had to like and post positive comments on a video they just watched?

  • LOL "pullups"

  • Between the butterfly pullup and the regular kipping pushup, which is better overall? Which is easier? and Which is better to transition into a muscleup?

  • @lwst82 None of them is "better" than any other. If you are looking for more isolated muscle group work similar to a deadhang, the regular kip is probably better. This is why I do most often. If you are in a very high rep workout where speed is the key, then butterfly kips are usually the best way to go. As far as transitioning into a muscle up, the regular or gymnastics kip is the way to go. Start by learning to kip and do chest to bars as high as possible, then the transition will be easy

  • @Bongo, these actually are proper butterfly kipping pull-ups. However they are primarily used for competition. Dead hang and normal kipping pull-ups are more practical for strength-building.

  • It's a shame you didn't manage 1 proper pullup there. I would of given up after 5 swings maybe, but you did it for 54 times. You have determination for sure.....but no strength. Btw I am 12 years old and deadlift 700

  • @TheBongo87 lol

  • good job!

  • AWESOME!

  • it looks like a retard trying to do a pullup!!

  • Its funny how people say this is more cardio than anything....you do know that increasing cardio capacity is one of the core goals of CrossFit right?

  • I`m not a crossfit hater, but this doesnt build explosivity compared to normal kipping pullups, nor does it build muscle mass compared to controlled negatives. Sorry but I fail to see where this exercise is better then any variation of pullup. It`s more like cardio then anything

  • @PardonMySanity Well actually there is a TON of explosiveness and core work. I can do both normal kipping and butterfly and let me tell you I found that butterflys exhaust my core WAY more than regular kips. You also get more reps in less time with butterflys... more so than regular kips.

  • @PardonMySanity I don't think the point of this one example was to build explosiveness. It says he's going for a personal record, so it was probably more to see hwo good his muscle endurance is. Pretty damn good I'll say.

  • Is he trying to move the bar?

  • wtf is this shit?

  • Until you haters start doing CrossFit workouts or even Kipping/Butterfly pull ups, don't talk crap saying it's easy. You guys won't even last.

  • @JLC2107 AGREED i hate when people say its "easy" and they can do 2 real ones haha

  • He looks like he's taking it up the ass from a horse. What kind of gay pull ups are those? Did Michael J. Fox invent these?

  • @DzikaSwiniaZX6 I understand it must be hard to read for you, but did you....I dunno..... looked at the title?!?

It clearly says "Butterfly Kipping Pull-ups".

Better to be thought of as an idiot than to type a comment and have it confirmed

  • @DzikaSwiniaZX6 It says what kind of pull ups they're in the title you dumb fuck, get your head out of your ass

  • lol what is the point of this

  • LOL! These are pull ups? Ok 10 regular pull ups are harder than this.

  • @garrettmunz have you ever tried butterflys? They're tough. The "regular" pull up and the kipping butterfly are two incredibly different things.

  • i just love seeing all these hater comments about kipping and butterfly pullups. For those haters.... i would love for them to try a WOD or FGB or fran....

  • @LThaka Doesn't impress me, Sorry. I competed for the US National Team for karate for two years. I'll be impressed when this guy can do thirty dead hangs

  • Comment removed

  • @Winnetka4

You know the difference between you and this guy?

You don't have a video. So shutup.

Crossfit would kick your sorry karate ass. If you're going to sit here and pretend this is easy then be that way, but you don't have shit on this guy until you show us something.

  • @LThaka Call Fran 21-15-9 for a good time ;)

  • You freakin' ROCK!! I'm gonna try the clapping ones next time I go in.

  • omg this sucks so hard

    so easy

  • suicide grip ha ha!

  • these joke pull ups make me lol

  • Awesome work man! I love butterflies. I can only do maybe 2 or 3 in a row though i'm working on it. I have done almost 50 kip before though.

  • that's a respectable performance, to be sure

  • That's how butterfly kipping pull ups are supposed to be done.

  • fail ups

  • @Duffman89detmig haha you probably can't do 10 stricts in a row

  • kipping pullups are ridiculous, even harder than strict pullups for me!

  • @ptarleton I think it is not dead pull up, but kipping pull up. This is parkout condintioning workout. It is suitable for parkour since in parkour they need to move as fast as possible

  • @harris1001

I responded to Shokeybutsi, who said that kipping pull-ups are harder for him than dead-hang pull-ups. That is retarded. The whole point of doing a kipping pull-up is to make it easier: to "gain momentum in the horizontal plane where it's cheap and easy, then apply it to the vertical plane."

If you can do more dead hang pull-ups than you can kipping pull-ups, you are not doing kipping pull-ups correctly. It's like saying you can Overhead Squat more than you can back squat.

  • me too, I've never been so sore from pullups until I have started using the butterfly

  • keep trying buddy and you'll get it! idk why you gotta thumbs down...keep trying though!!!

  • Good... but most didn't count, they weren't chest to bar

  • he wasnt going for chest to bar, if he was he would call it 54 chest to bar pull ups, not 54 pull ups

  • haha...dumbass

  • nice jeremy, im a friend of Kristen's and ive worked out at Crossfit Kinnick once or twice. Great place!

  • gotta love the crossfit haters...good stuff man...im still trying to get my kip on point

  • wow!!!

  • wow. really impressive.

  • once you master that butterfly your PR gets super-sized huh?

I'm working on it, my butterfly is getting there, I find it really hard to get the height on it though.

Great PR. Cant help but laugh at the people who think this is easy.

  • lol.

  • great job jeremy, you know, the same story. people talk and talk until they try a WOD, then they either shut up, cry and/or die :)

  • YES

  • i dont understand why everybody is hating on my pal here. im pretty sure he is stronger then all of you. thanks

  • well if you succeed in something...you're going to get haters. you buddy does look pretty strong man...i would love to do a WOD wit him sometime. no homo or course

  • homo

  • @bobgeek2

I don't understand either. The naysayers should try some of these workouts, they would die/quit/puke.

  • psycho!

  • crossfit saying "I can do what you can do, but you cant do what i can do" for all you hating on crossfit... try one workout and lets see whos big

  • fuck the haters bro.. great job.. CROSSFIT

  • Nice job!

  • u look like a fukn ass do sum real pull ups like Ls .

  • ur also an idiot

  • this is stupid.

  • ur an idiot

  • Pull-ups never looked that gay.

  • Feel free to post a video response he2he.

  • What should that video contain? Me trying to look even more gay? I don't think that's gonna happen.

  • How about a video of you doing a pull up or 2. Full range of motion. Then try a kipping pull up.

  • Thanks Vitaly! Its just something fun to mess around with every once in a while.

  • Gooood!!!!!
