@WhiteProfondo Is it really matters? Vecchia zimarra is an aria written by lyric bass in spite of Colline is a very young character... so, many baritones and bass-baritones sing this aria. if you want to criticize a singer, do it for the beauty of his performance, not by these irrelevant details.

the dynamics are suppose to be p and mp. You have a very nice voice, but you should probably try working on it as Puccini desired it to be sung! It's much more interesting when sung quietly! A lot harder too! Cheers!

Dynamics are all relative. Singing mezzo-piano at the Metropolitan Opera isn't going to get you heard.
