What trans are you using? And how is the on road performance and mpg? Nice rig.

On the Rubicon, I found I was using the granny much more then I had the 4liter 2F gas motor.
I believe the Orion really made this conversion work, as the om617 simply doesn't have the off-idle torque.

Highway:
I'm around 65-70 at 3K
temps stay around 900, raising up to 1100 when I encounter a hill.
If I noticed a hill up ahead, I would speed up to 70...during the hill, my EGTs would go up as my speeds would go down.
I did have to downshift once heading up into the Sierras, unavoidable as I didn't want to push the temps pasted 1150.
These sm465 just aren’t turbo sweet-spot friendly, as the jump from 3rd to 4th is pretty steep...prob. why Mercedes preferred automatics.
