Senator McCain has one son on active duty in the Marines (who has already served one tour in Iraq) and another son at the U.S. Naval Academy.  To say that McCain doesn't care about the troops is against the clear weight of the evidence.

Everyone on active duty now can go to college under the current GI bill. The problem is that many on active duty already have a degree. McCain's plan allows veterans to transfer that benefit so that their kids can go to college. The Webb plan that Obama tried to take credit for, does not.

I was with Sgt Anderson April 8th when our group of decorated Illinois Iraq veterans met with Senator Obama's staff instead of him as we had been requesting for a month prior. His staff lied to us, claiming Senator Obama would not support a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. But the same day, Senator Obama publicly called for a timetable.
