I had this LP and played it again and again and again as a teenager. I just loved HUTCH and when he released his albums I was floating on clouds. Great memories. Thanks for posting.
How come his career didn't last longer? He was a good singer. For me, maybe not like the best, but he was honest and he could separate from his TV character.
don't like him, turn the channel lol... and there ARE those of us, ESP us gals who could look at him if he couldn't sing a note, I KNOW I could... he is simply GORGEOUS!!!! still...
Heh, and I always believed it's about Christofer David his son, long before the acting day's of gordeous, blond handsome bugger DAVID SOUL. So tell me.
He has such a great voice and I thank you for posting this. It is hard to find any of his music now, unfortunately, or atleast that is what I am finding. I am glad that you have posted quite a few vids with his songs...thanks again.
I'm glad you posted this video, I've been looking for this song on CD and can't seem to find it. Back in the seventies in the US, nobody wanted to see "Hutch" singing these kind of songs so wasn't that popular, but I think this is a GREAT song. I also think "It sure brings..." and "Can't we just sit..." are fantastic songs.

I guess I'll have to buy the vinyl to listen to the entire "Playing..." album. Looking back, I'd wished I had purchased it back then, but not too many wanted to see "Hutch" singing these kind of songs.
thanks for posting this video. Back in the seventies in the US, his first song was great, but that was it. Listeners didn't want to see "Hutch" singing this kind of music. But now, I've re-discovered his second album, and it's GREAT. I've been trying to find the CD of this song on Ebay, but can't, so that's why I'm glad you posted. I also think "It sure brings out the love in your eyes" is a fantastic song.

I owned this album and played it to death. I always thought it was about his son, Jan, not a woman.
He (Jan) is on the back of the record album, sleeping in a theater chair. Utterly charming!
