Yeah, Great memories. I also was a member 78-80. The routine was different though.After the circle in the middle and we stopped and turned,we took off to different corners at a full gallop then did a sliding stop in the corner and pivoted.One time my horse Shorty decided he didnt want to go into the corner,& stopped too soon throwing me over his head.It was the only time my parents ever came to see us,My dad had video up until I came off. I landed on my feet, Doc handed me my flag & we finished.
Great memories!!!! Thanks for posting. As a member in 1984/85. . .still remember the formation and where the flag of Mexico fit (yes, we did the exact same performance). I still recall the places where my horse, Pat, was so bored. And how awesome was the thrill of watching children's faces at the parades? Doc. B. . .one of a kind, a class act.
