Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you teleport out of fox's upthrow-->upair? When you have enough damage, and when fox upthrows you, I believe you can teleport out of it before he hits you with upair? I've done it before, I'm just wondering if anybody else has too

depends on the damage I think, and from the looks of it Iroi TRIED to teleport out of that first U-throw/U-air, and Cactuar hit him out of the opening frames anyways.

BTW, Cactuar didn't DI the first U-Throw combo. thought that was a scrubby thing to do. :P

He just didn't expect the U-throw at that time, it happens. Everyone misses DI opportunities now and then. Last week I was at a tournament where this guy just destroyed me with CF because I wasn't DIing correctly, I was DIing into his shit because I was trying to respond instead of escaping.

Dude it wasn't just destruction, it was an embarrassing 4stocking lol. I'm stubborn, so I wanted to play him again, but I wasn't playing well...so I get 4stocked again lol. But yeah dude a CF that's really on fire, and if you're not playing well...you're going to get annihilated. This guy (sparrow) is a great player (one of the best in MN), and his CF was spot on, so I don't feel too bad about getting destroyed lol. Honestly, it's part of maining mewtwo: if you're not having a good day, and if your opponent is, then prepare to get absolutely raped lol XD. The vidz will be up soon.

Even Taj said that he has CF problems, I don't blame him, it's a shit matchup :/

Nair + knee = death, sometimes even if you DI it right. Falcon's just soooooo freaking FAST.

As for trying to strike back, you can Shadowclaw Falcon out of just about all his airs, including the knee (SC does come out @ frame 5, which is really fricken FAST) but the timing is very tight and you have to find the exact frames of vulnerability. It's something I've done, but more often than not you mearly trade hits.

It's a gamble but sometimes it pays off. >_> Ah Mewtwo lol

Interesting, I've always been too afraid to try shadowclawing him out of his moves, and the times that I do try to do something like that, I end up DIing into combos and getting absolutely raped lol. I'm still learning, I'm sure I'll get down the situational aspects of when to DI away, and when to try to interrupt his chains with a shadowclaw.

Ah mewtwo is right, he causes me so much grief and stress, but I love the character too much to give him up :)

Iori used good mindgame maneuvers occasionally during the match, but always went predictably aggressive right after them. should have played it more patient, thrown in a couple more mindgames, then go in when they're really confused
