  • this is awesome

  • and yet he some times forgot to tune up?

  • This sounds like The Residents (slightly less avantgarde) in the 1960s. I dig it.

  • This is my favourite track on their LP. Dorothy is one of the many 60's artists that should have never stoped performing. Look at the crap they're playing on the radio this days and listen to THIS!! Where did all the talent go??

  • @CookieOfTheHousie put some effort into looking for music. The Flaming Lips' Embryonic and Circulatory System's Signal Morning are two of the greatest psychedelic rock albums I've ever heard and they both came out in the last 10 years.

  • Great LP, I bought it in 1968 when it came out. My record collection long gone, have not heard in ages, thanks for putting this side up.

  • Hang on. On Dorothy's section of the album cover, what is she pressing her face against? Please tell me that isn't what I think it is.

  • the broken shades on the tarmac

  • This makes me wanna fly.. high.. into the Sky!! :D

  • you're kidding right? this is just people banging and blowing haphazardly on objects that make unconnected unrelated sound to sound sounds(noise), right? You like it because that's humor...?

  • @njfhar

    you just described all music

  • @njfhar 2deep4u

  • @njfhar loser.

  • There is no guitar on this record. One of the cool things about it.I also remember reading a review of this song that said it was obscene.

  • Just passed my 57th birthday, Have heard this and the Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies "Back in the Day", Way ahead of their time.

  • is this god on earth making musi?

  • I was close to Dana Chalberg, flute...she was with Joe Byrd...The group was great!!!

Dana produced Field Hippies... They shoulda been big! Where are they now?

Gordon Marron is in Hawaii I think... Dana had a lovely sister Jeannie... Nancy Covert, violin was here too... NY, NY near Columbia U...

Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys stayed with us then...40 years ago...

Merry X-Mas... Hannukah was great too!

Neal H. Hurwitz NY NY nealhugh@aol.com

  • esa voz...

  • bass is so on. the guitar solo is amazing!! great song.

  • @AtomicSpaceRitual777 That's not a guitar but a violin, dude

  • First came across this band's name in an All Music Guide essay. I'm glad I did and decided to check them out, this is among the best albums ever made and among those that changed my life.

  • thank you for video, my LP is dead this band is f'en great

  • i will always buy this album. love love tis group!

  • Unforgettable Album !

  • What's Jumpin' Off?! FLASHBACK late 60-early 70's; From the bowels of 1 of the worse ghettoes in America-Camden, NJ across from Philly, Me, known as Psychedelic! The Black Brother. Peace & love turning on many. Sunshine. Mescaline. Mushrooms. Haze. House partying w/ the flashing lights & dancing girls; stereophonic headphones made that ghetto glitter! Remember nights of Spectrum dance concerts, Door's Open in Camden, OG JFK Stadium & it all ended at Camden Co College '75-'78. Holler at me

  • This is more amazing and interesting then alot of people back then thought

  • Even more amazing is that in this age of the electric guitar, this group chooses to be void of them.

    Thanks

    Dennis

  • Yeah that also is very good but that could why they weren't all that popular back then!!! god people were picky back then!!

  • wouldn't have noticed... using instruments like an electric violin instead, very cool.

  • @BGgunnor

How do you not hear the guitar in this song? Derp comment of the year award.

  • Comment removed

  • @deengew That's not a guitar. It's a distorted electric violin. I couldn't believe it either, but apparently that's what it is.

  • @bbqplatypus318

    mind=blown

  • @Leadhead444 It was well received by music critics, I believe, though ignored by the masses. Ah, well...

  • An amazing album when it came out, and even more amazing now.

  • Thanks for the memories BGgunnor saw them 1st time 40 yrs ago in Boston love them then and love them now Dorothy Rocks where the freak did life go. Still got the album love it

  • I had it back then, still have it now, and recently bought a sealed back-up..

  • I think I was the only person I knew who had this album back then. Still like it ...

  • I hope there will not come the time that I will listen this song really high.

  • Don't count anything out
