This is my favourite track on their LP. Dorothy is one of the many 60's artists that should have never stoped performing. Look at the crap they're playing on the radio this days and listen to THIS!! Where did all the talent go??
@CookieOfTheHousie put some effort into looking for music. The Flaming Lips' Embryonic and Circulatory System's Signal Morning are two of the greatest psychedelic rock albums I've ever heard and they both came out in the last 10 years.
you're kidding right? this is just people banging and blowing haphazardly on objects that make unconnected unrelated sound to sound sounds(noise), right? You like it because that's humor...?
@njfhar you're kidding right? you are just a person banging and blowing haphazardly on words that make unconnected unrelated sentence to sentence sentences(ignorance), right? You do it because you are 15...?
First came across this band's name in an All Music Guide essay. I'm glad I did and decided to check them out, this is among the best albums ever made and among those that changed my life.
What's Jumpin' Off?! FLASHBACK late 60-early 70's; From the bowels of 1 of the worse ghettoes in America-Camden, NJ across from Philly, Me, known as Psychedelic! The Black Brother. Peace & love turning on many. Sunshine. Mescaline. Mushrooms. Haze. House partying w/ the flashing lights & dancing girls; stereophonic headphones made that ghetto glitter! Remember nights of Spectrum dance concerts, Door's Open in Camden, OG JFK Stadium & it all ended at Camden Co College '75-'78. Holler at me
Thanks for the memories BGgunnor saw them 1st time 40 yrs ago in Boston love them then and love them now Dorothy Rocks where the freak did life go. Still got the album love it
this is awesome

This sounds like The Residents (slightly less avantgarde) in the 1960s. I dig it.

Great LP, I bought it in 1968 when it came out. My record collection long gone, have not heard in ages, thanks for putting this side up.

Hang on. On Dorothy's section of the album cover, what is she pressing her face against? Please tell me that isn't what I think it is.

There is no guitar on this record. One of the cool things about it.I also remember reading a review of this song that said it was obscene.

Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys stayed with us then...40 years ago...

This is more amazing and interesting then alot of people back then thought
Leadhead444 2 years ago 11
Even more amazing is that in this age of the electric guitar, this group chooses to be void of them.
Thanks
Dennis
BGgunnor 2 years ago 12
Yeah that also is very good but that could why they weren't all that popular back then!!! god people were picky back then!!
Leadhead444 2 years ago
wouldn't have noticed... using instruments like an electric violin instead, very cool.

@deengew That's not a guitar. It's a distorted electric violin. I couldn't believe it either, but apparently that's what it is.
