Read the book "Summerhill School: A new view of childhood by ASNeill. It is fantastic. I agree but i disagree with few. It will be nice to combine it with the positive side of state school and apply some of the freedom from summerhill then we will have a perfect school lol
When it got to the part where the pupils took over the courtroom to decide whether or not to accept the settlement, I busted out laughing. I had to stand up and walk around. The cat looked at me funny.
I guess my next stop is Wikipedia, but Amazon may well be after that. I think this idea is beautiful, and I only wonder what results it produces academically. I'm guessing as good as or better than average public schools, but I'll have to look stuff up to know for sure.
Yep. Everything I've looked up about this, read about it, seen about it on YouTube, indicates that it's as fine a school, results-wise, as a kid is likely to attend.
