Try making a Pro skatepark scooter. Im sure If you made on for adult's it would become popular. Some examples of kid pro skatepark scooter's are MGP's Blunt's and Pheonix's.
@overloadcast It could be a popular thing yeah. We don't really sell anything in the trick or extreme market though. NYCeWheels is more about function, commuting, and general use. Thanks for commenting! -Peter
My XOoTer gets me out of many Jams when time is of essence. 20 min walk journeys turn into 5-mins with this bad boy. Folds away & out of way into my car trunk and Locker at work.
People react differently to it & I careless. It serves me well and thats all that matters.
cool design, BUT totally not a good scooter! KickPed is better as my experienced. why Xootr scooter is not good enough? because the wheels, and it makes a little sounds, it means lot parts are shaky or easy loosen parts. Xootr if u use it? you'll decreased pounds its a good for wants to be sexy. i meant good exercise for xootr scooter. I'm not sure if i say it right.
@nycewheels ya i agree. ive been looking for a small, portable transportation device that can be folding up quickly and carried onto your back. this may do it, however, im thinking of building one from scratch, for my own personal use
The maker of this scooter is from Scranton Pensilvainia My father owns the warehouse he builds them in i myself have got a xootr they are excelent in performance!Bret Farm Bought two of these for his own children! They are indeed one of the best scooters in the world.
Yeah, I am very familiar with that Warehouse. We use to go there and pickup up product by the truck load. We even went up to the old factory as far back as 10 years ago. Great warehouse with plenty of space. -BC
Thanks for your review. I've been thinking of this for days now, and it only took one look at your video to finally click the "Purchase" button. I plan to post a review too.
I prefer the goped, much more stable and smoother ride. I can ride very fast, I doubt a xootr could beat me in a race unless the riding surface was a gym floor, a race of a mile on roads would wear the xootr rider out with the constant pounding from the hard tires.
@VJ254 Hmm, that's a fair point and may be true. The Xootr is faster but it does have more road shock. Have you checked out our KickPed video? We modified the classic Goped kick scooter design to make it a bit sportier and performance oriented still. What do you think? -Peter
@jfraps It takes practice and it definitely helps if you have to show a product of day after day. If you want to get faster focus on speeding up each of the steps individually and then put them together.
My wife and I have had ours for two years, we live in NYC, and we commute with it about 5 miles a day, on the weekends 15 miles plus, we are very fit, thanks to XOOTR...
@bigmodaco We have so many great stories of people like you and your wife getting exercise, having fun, and getting around more quickly on kick scooters. Xootr is definitely a great choice. Thanks commenting! -Peter
I have been using a Xootr for over four years and it has been a fun way to get excercise for me during the day. On well paved streets you can easily get over 30mph on a slight downhill - so wear a helmet and learn to brake with both wheels!
I used a scooter during a GOUT attack and it allowed me to get to work without crutches and I had so much fun that I upgraded to an adult sized Xootr. Now I keep it in the trunk of my car and get my excercise everyday with it.
@gotglasses That's great to hear! Yep scooting is a great way to get around and can often be a lot faster than most people think. Thanks for the comment and keep on scooting!
@gotglasses i injured my foot jumping the last 4 stairs to the subway platform rushing to catch a subway in manhattan. i was able to go everywhere using my xootr ,after this, when i could hardly walk. great stuff.
I dont wanna complain , i think is an amazing scooter but i feel the price is too high. I got an way cheaper scooter for only 50 bucks , it got all the features of this one. Im just saying , apart of the most mature look for older people, it is a lil pricey for younger one.Im unsure if the raxor lux haves an hand break but is really helpful when riding on the city.
@NekoNatsume I'm glad you're happy with yours. There are a million cheaper scooters out there but we've found the Xootr to be one of the most reliable for long term heavy use. Xootrs are ideal for commuters because they are sturdier than the cheaper designs and have many parts which can be replaced when worn out. In our experience the Razor A5 only lasts adults about 6 months if they ride a lot.
i would like same kind of review for the razor A5 Lux.... xootr seems better and smaller... but the price of the razor is really competitive and it also looks tougher. I'm just concerned that razor has bigger dimensions when folded, its folding mechanism is less smart than the xootr. And xootr has hand break too... but 100pounds more as well.. don't really no what to choose
@SerMarelli We will have time over the winter months to add some more videos but they are very time consuming to produce (4-8 hours including editing)
The RAzor A5 Kick scooter is a pretty good deal and works for riders 5'10" or shorter. The weight capacity is a little less than the Xootr kick scooter and the deck is much shorter. The Razor A5 is more compact when folded and about 2 lbs lighter.
The strap is an optional accessory for $15. Its very popular with city commuters and comes in handy if you have to run up and down stairs or generally carry other things.
its actually one of the toughest kick scooters. We sell those mostly to adults for commuting in NYC (pretty rough pavement). I don't think our lawyers and doctors do grinds and half-pipes on the way to Wall street, so couldn't tell you how they hold up for that.

@nycewheels yep, helped a lot. thanks for the quick reply. i'm quite tall so is probably better to take the Xootr.
I don't think so, but if you have a shop in U.K. let me know.. or even better do you ship in the UK? and if yes how much does it cost?
SerMarelli 1 year ago
@SerMarelli I agree, contact xootr com directly for oversee shipping. It might cost as much as $100 : (
We have a lot of customers from the UK that have friends traveling to the US and pick one up in the shop in NYC, might be an option.
