If you want noticeable power gain , do the ecu first. The exhaust is nice too. I did the stage 2 software , stage 2 intake and exhaust at once. The car flew after it was done. And since then i cut the resonator out for some more sound. Lovin it !!!!

:), I'll stay with my 275 bhp MK.V E30. The Mk.V looks,and drives better than the Mk.6 (imo),& my 2 very good friends have tweaked Mk.VI's,& both prefer my Mk.V.. we all like our speed delivered in different ways,either way,for day 2 day driving,the GTI is one amazing driver's car :)

@pimpt47 The full exhaust system will see an increase in power with or without performance software.

You're allowing the turbo to freely spool which will result in an increase power, less back pressure, more timing advance, lower EGT's (which will actually increase turbo life), faster response, and higher torque/power levels. It also sounds good.

Guys which is better DSG or manual?

@dilawer321 DSG is, it is a dual clutch direct shift gearbox. Clutch 1 handles gears 1,3,5 while clutch 2 handles gears 2,4,6. Basically when you use either manual override stick OR the shift paddles you can shift through them instantly and there is no delay at all in transition from gear to gear. Say you are in gear 1, clutch 2 is already in gear 2, so when you shit to gear 2, it is an instant shift. Then once shifting to gear 2, clutch one is already in gear 3. It is faster than any manual.

@dilawer321 In all honesty, I had a manual in my last 07 GTI. Yes it was fun, but manuals are also a pain in the ass. And here is why, we do not live on race tracks, we live in the real world. Which means we have to put up with terrible traffic, especially if you live in congested areas. This tends to make manual gear boxes very annoying lol. With my new '11 GTI I chose DSG. It can be enjoyable like a manual gear box when you want it to be and it is more economical with fuel.

@moehio Cruise inside the cabin is in some cases quieter than stock. When you get on it, you'll have an increase in exhaust sound, but you will not have any drone. Drone is the "WaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" sound a honda 4 cylinder with exhaust makes.

I have to say, of all the exhaust demo videos I've ever seen, this one was the best put together. It really lets you hear the difference from the stock.

Personally, I find a lot of after-market exhausts obnoxious, but this one seems to be tuned pretty well. I love the burble at low revs. Great job on this.

@pissedofftwinky It may fit, but the RSC chambers were not tuned for the MK6 Golf 2.5L so we are not sure how it would sound or if it would do an acceptable job of eliminating drone. Each system we offer at this time is specifically tuned for the chasis/engine combination.

i really like the exhaust sound on the car . however i believe apr overprices everything they have and its not really worth it for your money, except for the chip and some other small stuff. it would be awesome if they could have some kind of a sale sometime soon where they give a "fair" deal.

@teharmo It's impossible for APR to sell the exhaust for a lower price and still make any money to justify even creating the system in the first place. RSC technology is not the same as any other exhaust system on the market. Also APR's RSC exhaust systems use a very low carbon stainless steel, which cannot be said for competitors exhaust systems. This grade steel will not rust like others and has a lifetime warranty. Also, unlike every other system out there, RSC has 0 drone.
