i've read the book a thousand times over (including the sequel "Fire") and it is amazing! Here, in England, Graceling was not (and sadly still isn't) a well known novel. However, when I found it hidden on the shelves of my favorite dusty bookstore (that has a cat just to let you know) I was overjoyed to not only the writing itself nor the incredable characcters but also the fact it was something I could/did fall inlove with. Maybe having it as m own secret tresure was a bonus too..
@wolflover255 Haha...Katniss/Katsa. Peeta/Po. Naw you're not the only one. Me and my friend talk about how weird that is. But eh they're both amazing books so YAY!
When I fist started it was slow but then I read through the whole thing and it was so amazing! I read it because of your review and it's now being given to all my friends to read!
My friend got this book for me to read because she LOVED it. I, however, just could not get in to it. I'm glad so many other people have enjoyed it though.
The trailer looked so stupid, like the fighting wasn't even cool, and can we call some real actiors like angalena and brad, some people that can really fight. The book is the best but I hate watching the trailer it killed it for me.
Graceling was written so well and so much going for it! I loved all the characters and the graces and the plot and the world and the dash of romance amidst it......
Until the exat middle of the book. Where Katsa and Po take IT too far for no reason. That completely ruined the whole book for me (oh, and the fact that they decide not to get married in the end, poorly done).
I say, go read Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins instead.
i read the book. i luv the plot. but the author can't write for shit. Her writing style and vocab remind me of 8th grade when all my friends were writing fan fiction cause they thpought they could write...they could. neither can this woman. i think the story would have been amazing if a more expericened author wrote it. the story line is amazing thos.
Oh hey I just wanted to say that I have now read As You Wish twice due to its pure awesomeness, and I am more in love with Jinn than I am with Edward Cullen. True facts! ;]

Am I the only one who feels like Graceling and The Hunger Games are a bit similar? "Katsa", "Katniss"? Anyone?

I was all ready to go out and get this book and then I was like, "Wait, was Jackson Pearce wearing a Twilight slap bracelet?"
The answer was yes.
