The night before Harry Potter came out I was in Universal Studios Los Angeles and there were tons of people dressed in a potterway for example: Hagrid, Bellatrix, Hogwarts student and much more it's AMAZING that people are still making it more alive than ever <3 and the day the movie came out I wore my Slytherin jacket and a Harry Potter and the deathly hallows shirt that has Hermione, Ron, Harry and at the back it has Hogwarts and we even watched it twice in the theater in a row.!
If she was British she would be like "God Harry Potter is so annoying" because all American people compare British people to Harry Potter characters!!!
I do kinda feel like it's over... But I know it never will be, because there are so many people that, even if they stop really being INTO HP, they'll still remember it as a huge part in their lives.
(Plus, I got o sleep every night staring at Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)'s face.)

1:00 I agree we were definitely saying goodbye to something and it's sad that JKR isn't writing any more books for the series. However, it's true Harry Potter will never be gone. All the fans are going to have a commitment to it and I'm sure there will be alot more stories, songs, art, and pictures made now that we all have a lot more free time.

This is well over a month after you posted this (almost two months) and I just wanted to let you know that I went through/ am dealing with now exactly what you went through. it will never be over for me. My friends are ready to kill me because they do not know what I feel. Even my boyfriend hates me for just talking about it because I never stop haha! I don't want it to stop! I got my sister a wand for her 16th birthday. Its one of the ones you use as a remote- like you twist it and it dims the lights. You can use it on anything electrical
I think besides all of the obvious things that Harry Potter has done for me, it has taught me the most to cherish the time I have with my twin. No matter how untouchable Fred and George seemed, things still happened to them. So, they taught me to remember the good and not the bad.
We grew up with Harry Potter. We stood outside the bookstore dressed as our favorite characters for hours, watched and re-watched every movie, and read and re-read every book. At the end of the seventh movie, we cried our eyes out because that was it.
The fact that I was willing to walk through the middle of town, stand in a 20 min queue and not care about the prospect of someone I know seeing me wearing a full Gryffindor outfit. Cause I bought the 3D HP glasses when I was seeing a 2D film, the fact that I lost my friend on the way in so I wouldn't miss any of the film (I missed the first 10 mins anyway). The way that I like to dance around the house listening to Wizard Rock when no one's home. It all truly shows how much I love HP:')

i was called by my cousin a few mins after watching this video to ask if i wanted to watch the last hp movie.... i couldnt find my hedwig or golden snitch plushie or anything harry potter related (other than books), but luckily your shirt inspired me so i just drew the deathly hallows on a shirt and wrote the names of the golden trio on the back...... i currently have post-potter depression and i was still crying throughout the ending credits
On the day of the preformance, during my camp, I wore my cloak, tie, scarf, glasses, amd held out my wand for the entire day. In 95 degree weather. But who wouldn't? It's all for Harry Potter.
Ok, so I almost cried when I saw this. I wish they could keep making more and more movies. But no, it's not over. Harry Potter will always live within us. I am now in full-blown Post-Potter Depression. I was addicted. I am now in withdrawls. But I think it's important to remember that we, the fans, are really the lifeblood of the Harry Potter series, so as long as we live, Harry lives as well. :)
i just went to see the last harry potter and i cant stop crying. its not only because its coming to an end, but because of the message it sent me. when harry walked up to voldmort ready to die and slowly closed his eyes i grew a new fondness for him, the books, and life. afterwords i sat there thinking i will never understand what it is like to look death right in the face and sacrifice my life. that made me start to believe that sometimes when you accept defeat you are not truly defeated.
Regardless of whether this is cool to tell you, everytime at the midnight premiere of Harry Potter when I saw someone who's costume was superior to mine, I just kept thinking, "WE HAVE TO BE FRIENDS."
Im having a hard time getting over it all finishing atm.The local cinema had part 1 and part 2 together in one big block from 9 pm till 2 am i was so sad at the end of it.Im seeing it for the third time tuesday and im re-reading the series im on order of the pheonix by tuesday i should have finished the series im greatful i have it to read and intruduce the books and the movies to my kids in the future and will have fun reading the series to them hopefully theyll love it just as much as i did.
i actually went and rewatched all of the harry potter movies b4 the 2nd part of deathly hallows came out in marathon style...but b4 the movie marathons i reread the deathly hallow books....i don't want it to end....they should make a movie on tales of beedle the bard ^_^
I don't want it to end yet :( I mean I just got my Slytherin tie and robe like... this month!! At I got them in time to watch the pre-première(I don't know how it's spelled!) in Denmark :D

I've seen the movie twice now and a part of my soul goes with the ending but as Neville said we lose friends and family members everyday but they will always be here (referring to our hearts sorry couldn't show that) I am thankful for the time that i have had to know and love my Hogwarts family and even though they are gone my heart will hold on to them forever!!
I bawled when reading the book, and I bawled while watching the movie. So many people died in the last book, but they will be always be in our hearts, just as all the wonderful and cherishable memories we hold dear of Harry Potter will be. When I'm rereading Harry Potter for the somethingth time, I fail to remember what I ever did before discovering Harry Potter. If I saw J.K. Rowling right now, I would give her a giant hug and thank her for being so awesome. May HP live on forever!
Once I FINALLY see the movie, my life will not be the same. I read all of the books the summer that the Deathly Hallows came out, and that was my first year in the house I live in. However, the day Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out, we closed on a new house, so in a sense I am leaving Harry Potter behind, except that it will always be a part of me.
Remember, Harry Potter will never be gone until there are none left loyal to him.
And I am happy bec I know even though we must say goodbye to Mr. Potter the world will live on. Every year at real school would meen a yr at Hogwarts, for example I would turn 12 ans thus be entering 2nd yr of Hogwarts. I loved HP and Gryffindor seemed to talk about my personality so well I picked it for my house.
My friend and I would watch the movies over and over and even asign each other roles to quote the movie perfectly. Every book meant a new friendly challange, to finish before the other. Every Christmas meant more HP orinaments for the Tree.
I grew up as an only child and just like Harry never knew my parents. I wasn't very good at reading and my adopted mother tried everything to teach me how, even hooked on phonics. It wasn't until I picked up J.K. Rowling's new book (HP 1) & never put it down when I learned how to read.
I met my bff partly bec we both loved HP. We would spend hours after school playing make believe HP with our beanie babies.

I'm with you 100%. Even though i did't go to leakycon i made July 15th the best day i could.
1) i woke up and made breakfast for my parents while referring to them as the dursleys.
2) I watched avpm&s while eating readvines
3) i reread all the books(yes all of them)
4) i made things with recipes from my hp cookbook
5) i drank rootbeer out of my butterbeer mug
6) i listened to wizard rock
7) i took a nap
8) i went to the midnight premeire

We grew up with Harry Potter. We stood outside the bookstore dressed as our favorite characters for hours, watched and re-watched every movie, and read and re-read every book. At the end of the seventh movie, we cried our eyes out because that was it.

The fact that I was willing to walk through the middle of town, stand in a 20 min queue and not care about the prospect of someone I know seeing me wearing a full Gryffindor outfit. Cause I bought the 3D HP glasses when I was seeing a 2D film, the fact that I lost my friend on the way in so I wouldn't miss any of the film (I missed the first 10 mins anyway). The way that I like to dance around the house listening to Wizard Rock when no one's home. It all truly shows how much I love HP:')

i was called by my cousin a few mins after watching this video to ask if i wanted to watch the last hp movie.... i couldnt find my hedwig or golden snitch plushie or anything harry potter related (other than books), but luckily your shirt inspired me so i just drew the deathly hallows on a shirt and wrote the names of the golden trio on the back...... i currently have post-potter depression and i was still crying throughout the ending credits

Ok, so I almost cried when I saw this. I wish they could keep making more and more movies. But no, it's not over. Harry Potter will always live within us. We are all like horcrucxes (?) with a little bit of HP inside, but no sword will break us. We will always have them with us. Nothing can ever change that.

Oh you've just summed up everything I feel. I saw the film about a week after it was out and there was hardly anyone in the cinema and I felt really upset that not enough people realised how incredible and how life-changing Harry has been...

Unlike many others, I never did raise my wand at the end of the movie. I never said, "Mischief Managed."
Because to me, Harry Potter will never end. These stories and books and movies will carry on with me, in my heart. I won't say "Mischief Managed" because let's face it, the mischief will never be managed. Not to us, the Harry Potter generation.

I am now in full-blown Post-Potter Depression. I was addicted. I am now in withdrawls. But I think it's important to remember that we, the fans, are really the lifeblood of the Harry Potter series, so as long as we live, Harry lives as well. :)

i just went to see the last harry potter and i cant stop crying. its not only because its coming to an end, but because of the message it sent me. when harry walked up to voldmort ready to die and slowly closed his eyes i grew a new fondness for him, the books, and life. afterwords i sat there thinking i will never understand what it is like to look death right in the face and sacrifice my life. that made me start to believe that sometimes when you accept defeat you are not truly defeated.

Im having a hard time getting over it all finishing atm.The local cinema had part 1 and part 2 together in one big block from 9 pm till 2 am i was so sad at the end of it.Im seeing it for the third time tuesday and im re-reading the series im on order of the pheonix by tuesday i should have finished the series im greatful i have it to read and intruduce the books and the movies to my kids in the future and will have fun reading the series to them hopefully theyll love it just as much as i did.

i actually went and rewatched all of the harry potter movies b4 the 2nd part of deathly hallows came out in marathon style...but b4 the movie marathons i reread the deathly hallow books....i don't want it to end....they should make a movie on tales of beedle the bard ^_^

I've seen the movie twice now and a part of my soul goes with the ending but as Neville said we lose friends and family members everyday but they will always be here (referring to our hearts sorry couldn't show that) I am thankful for the time that i have had to know and love my Hogwarts family and even though they are gone my heart will hold on to them forever!!

I bawled when reading the book, and I bawled while watching the movie. So many people died in the last book, but they will be always be in our hearts, just as all the wonderful and cherishable memories we hold dear of Harry Potter will be. When I'm rereading Harry Potter for the somethingth time, I fail to remember what I ever did before discovering Harry Potter. If I saw J.K. Rowling right now, I would give her a giant hug and thank her for being so awesome. May HP live on forever!

Once I FINALLY see the movie, my life will not be the same. I read all of the books the summer that the Deathly Hallows came out, and that was my first year in the house I live in. However, the day Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out, we closed on a new house, so in a sense I am leaving Harry Potter behind, except that it will always be a part of me.
Remember, Harry Potter will never be gone until there are none left loyal to him.

Every year at real school would meen a yr at Hogwarts, for example I would turn 12 ans thus be entering 2nd yr of Hogwarts. I loved HP and Gryffindor seemed to talk about my personality so well I picked it for my house.
My friend and I would watch the movies over and over and even asign each other roles to quote the movie perfectly. Every book meant a new friendly challange, to finish before the other. Every Christmas meant more HP orinaments for the Tree.

I grew up as an only child and just like Harry never knew my parents. I wasn't very good at reading and my adopted mother tried everything to teach me how, even hooked on phonics. It wasn't until I picked up J.K. Rowling's new book (HP 1) & never put it down when I learned how to read.
I met my bff partly bec we both loved HP. We would spend hours after school playing make believe HP with our beanie babies.
