  • awesome. I want to get into slope soaring (and rc in general) i live in south florifda. Boca raton to be exact. Maybe when i get enough money to buy rc parts ill find a nice area to fly at the beach :)

  • @charliepossenriede Hi Charlie, it doesn't have to be expensive, some cheap radio gear and a foamie will last a loooong time. Not many hills down your way though, but as seem in this film, you don't need much if you've got smooth sea air

  • What plane is that?

  • @tom98277 that plane is an SAS Wildthing

  • A few years ago i went up to dunnet head in the north of scotland and flew of the sand dunes it was a fab day {"_*}

  • @spektrum33

yup love a bit of dune soaring, it's got a thrill all of it's own

  • Top video, top flying, top tune and to top it off, top people. Nice one :-)

  • @Disastir

  • Nice one Paul, you've surpassed your self once again! :-)

    Steve

  • @thezaggikid

only due to your superb skills on the stick :)

  • Cool, Dude

  • @SpeedsterDEN

Thanks Speedster, we studied your videos for DS technique

  • @miniphase Woov, I see at: steve does ds. that you are getting the groove :)

Just keep on training, and you should know that faster gfk gliders and bigger sites is very easy to DS, compare with your little dune site.

  • @SpeedsterDEN

thanks Den, this was our first attempt, young Steve is very good on the sticks and made it look very easy....I could only manage the odd circuit here or there though :(

  • @miniphase The secret DS on small sites, is have the right glider for the site, and go low at the botton, and as low as possible when crossing the dune top. :)

You must on google earth to look for a bigger site :), then its not that hard.

    Good luck.

  • @SpeedsterDEN

yup, we'll hunt down a biiger site and let you knwo how it goes

    all the best

  • @miniphase One more thing, put on a lot of ballast.

Heavy is good when Dsing, it will track better and be faster over the top.

  • @SpeedsterDEN

Yes, you're confirming everything we thought on the day, Steve's model was a lot better suited as it was heavier than mine, I kept getting spat out round the back and found it very difficult to get any consistent circuits in.

  • SUPER :) !!

  • @radampl

cheers radampl, it was a super day.....one to remember now that winter is on the way
