  • you are in oklahoma?

  • @D1yanaH I have moved to Virginia.

  • @VeiledGlory o ok nice, well im in small town called durant and we got to much snow and im surprised you wearing hijab im proud that you cover up all women should to protect them selfs. i would show people how i do my hijabs but i do not know how to use the youtube well to make a video and put on youtube. but i like your hijab styles. mash allah.

  • Do you get negative comments from people who think you might be muslim, if so how do you deal with this? A few members of my family are copts and they also cover as Christians but we are mainly muslim

  • @hummingbird975 im in same way im in a small town in usa in durant oklahoma and im a Muslim and its hard, and sometimes my family that are christians when they wear its not good, people are mean, and i dilike a fake christian people always pull off my hijab or use sexually talks about it, calling me names and always stearing, in the christians bible it talks about them covering but they do not. so shame on them for not fallow their own book. but its hard. Allah will bless.

  • Hi Anna, I have been wearing a covering for many years and I have just started wearing scarves and they and the undercap keep creeping back till my hairline shows. How do you keep it from going back on the head. I tie all my scarves behind my head by the way. Thank you for your willingness to cover your head. It is an encouragement.

  • Ít makes me happy to see other people convert to Orthodox and start with wearing scarfs! I am russian Orthodox and do also wear a scarf, but i am a little bit dissapointed of my own country who are starting with taking scarfes off and wearing open clothes. We use to be strong religious country and i want it too bee it again! Anyway girl... u made me proud!

  • SPEAK UP!!!!!

  • In order to stay away from saying hijab/shayla: We do have our own names for these things: som1 asked what u can say,u can say "veil". hijab is an Islamic concept-& an Arabic word and it stands for 'partition'? or 'covering'?i believe. the Bible says 'veil' and if u want to get more technical 'katakalupto'- to cover up,to veil or cover one's self. Let's remember that hijab and katakalupto have different origins and kind of different purposes.God has spoken His Word to us-no need to replace it

  • @saelesta1 Hijab means modesty in Arabic and is applicable for both men and women. I dont think there is anything wrong in using the word. Dont brand things. just beleive in God and be rightoeus, irrespective of any religion you follow.

  • Lovely! I don't own a lot of pins, but I'm certain I can get some inexpensive after-Christmas specials. I'd love to try this style (I cover 100% at church and Mass, about 95% otherwise).

  • i am a messianic jew and i believe women should cover their heads after they are married. i know some more orthodox jews believe all women-single or married- should cover. i guess my question to this video is why would you choose a covering that most associate with the muslim faith? i mean, you even call it a hijab!

our G-d is of order, not confusion. i would love to see an explanation as to how the hijab practice wouldn't create confusion or give witness to allah and not HaShem, our G-d.

  • @heart2heal What is the big deal of her using the word hijab? Aren´t you christians ,that have the label of "messianic jews", copying everything from the Judaism?

  • Did anyone asked WHY wear a hijab? Should be the core of the topic.

  • loved..it..but ..i still..douting..about the neck..i prefer full..hijab..till neck...

  • you could always just say a scarf or a headscarf?

  • does it muffle your hearing? and I think the veils are so pretty but it really takes guts to wear one here in our society doesn't it? Funny that it is so intimidating to wear a veil are really be that modest but it is....

  • well it depends on the fabric. if you wear silk or polyester (which is best in mild to cold temperature) or something sheer and light, it wont muffle your hearing. However I have one scarf that really distracts my hearing I dont know what fabric it was but it was very shiny and very stiff.

  • i have that scarf! gotta love walmart and heir 5 dollar assortments! bought a bunch last winter and am loving the summer scarves they have out right now but haven't bought any yet.

  • My husband loves my veils! He isn't controlling or demanding at all. :-)

  • Wonderful, amazing.

Thanks a lot for posting, May Allah Protect U.

  • i started to think of starting to wear hijab and I am catholic so to my family it will be like something new thanks for showing me that i am not the only christian girl doing it^^

  • If you have one of the cotton berets from Parkhurst, that's a great first layer, too. Comfy, stays on well, and it adds a little bulk to the head, which can be nice, especially for those of us with bulkier bodies!

  • Wow I'm really amazed

you are christian and you cover for modesty

    May God bless you

    My respect

  • instead of prepping for the book group discussion I'm leading tomorrow night :-), I just stood in front of the computer and followed your steps and am now sitting here beautifully semi-hijabed. It's nice. I like how the head part doesn't have to be so tight, so that it does frame my face a bit more and I don't look so much of a pinhead! Don't know if I'd wear this out and about, but trying it at home is the first step ... thanks, Anna!

  • nice. i like it. :-)

  • There IS a movement of women in Christianity to wear a headcovering, it is just very small. But I'm in there somewhere. :)

  • i learned something new today yay
