  • The Gospel is the good news that the Israelites that YHWH cast away are welcome back into His Covenant alongside the Jews. Jeremiah 31.

  • @GanEdenAustralia

A gospel is a written account that describes the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus. In a more general sense the term "gospel" may refer to the Good News message of the New Testament. It is primarily used in reference to the four Canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

However, the term is also used to refer to the Synoptic gospels, the Apocryphal gospels, the Non-canonical gospels, the Jewish gospels and the Gnostic gospels.

  • @ceesswe Indeed and He actually said that He ONLY came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel, that is the northern Kingdom who were exiled.

  • @GanEdenAustralia @GanEdenAustralia God's design was to take the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth. Our Lord laid out that master plan of evangelism in Acts 1:8. The Great Commission is recorded in Matthew 28:19: "Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations ...." The Apostles were to start in Jerusalem, move to Judea and Samaria, and then go to Gentile lands.

  • Yes thats the common western view you have there but I'm talking the real deeper reason. The Covenenant was only ever made with the 12 Tribes of Israel who later broekn in 2 and Jeremiah speaks of the renewed covenant made by Messiah to ISRAEL and JUDAH, not "gentiles" per se.

  • ...The Israelites (10 tribes -northern Kingdom) were exiles by Assyria and have never returned. YEshua states He came ONLY to them, the "lost sheep". That is us, westerners. The Israelites became "gentiles" later on but God brings them back in like the prodigal son parable.

  • whoa...@ 9:48, cool idea with the "Prayer Station"...an attractive, inviting set up that balances the "judgmental" justice message of us being lawbreakers in need of a savior.

I checked out the 4 links in sidebar, the 2nd seems no longer functional, but the others are great!

  • he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
