I sure hope there are no remixes or anything out there trying to tamper with this fantastic piece of music, anything like that and it would be ruined, it's perfect just the way it is :)
These were the best days of gaming, you actually enjoyed playing them, in a way I wish the evolution of games had stayed at this level lol, what they lacked in graphics they definitely had a playability that is hard to find these days.
This is pure awesomeness. This little piece of incredibly atmospheric music puts you right back in feudal Japan. Best games tune ever, from the best games soundtrack ever!
Oh, believe me, there is more you can do with a SID. Just listen to Welle: Erdball, they work often with it.. It has the same possibilities as a POKEY.
No offense to Welle:erdball, but the sheer musicality of Ben Daglish and Anthony Lees soundtrack is what stands out for me. I mean - you can really hear it's orchestrated music put thru the technical bounderies of the SID6581.
all of those that you listed are exactly what i experienced too. The Commodore machines were the best though :) I kept using my Amiga 1200 up until the year 2000, and recently dusted it off and got it all up and running again. I need to get my C64 sorted out next, and as for my Atari, that was sold to buy a C64 in those very early 80's.. And yeah, time really does fly!, and too fast for my liking :(

Wonderful!
And they were doing this with only 39112 bytes available!!!

That limitation was only for BASIC programs. You could use nearly all of the 64kb ram with ML.
