The plots involving her losing her powers end an episode or two into the CBS shows. This idea features prominently in the war-era episodes, though. Later it was Diana who got overpowered and the suspense involved seeing if she could manage to spin into WW to get out of trouble. WW didn't do as much in the CBS shows. She tended to come, jump, throw a few things around and turn back into Diana. I guess Lynda wanted to act more as Diana to avoid being typecast as a super hero.
@six2112 = from experience of sexy women at the office aged about Lynda's age, = they are usually most turned on about their own sexuaity at 27 years of age to 29. Hence they are more careless seated at meetings in a miniskirt, wear tight white skirts more (ladies, flesh coloured briefs work with those, white ones = see thru). So i think she probably was pretty turned on by building up for these scenes. She has a great body, huge popularity, hit show and women and men are tuning in to watch her
It would have been a really sexy scene if one of the men tied up an unconcious Wonder Woman with her own golden lasso and lifted up & carried her out of the barn. An over the shoulder carry would have been great also.
@Fantasizer Yeah, I know they should have removed her magic belt while she was unconcious and before she was chained up to the jail room floor spread eagle. It would have been a hot scene if a now powerless WW had woken up and tried to break free and was'nt able to and George was right outside the jail cell holding her magic belt and taunting her by saying that she was now his prisoner and she was powerless to break free.
@360whiplash Yes. I also think what it would be like if they actually showed her being tied into that position while was unconscious. Just imagine the bad guys tying her beautiful, senseless body to the jail room floor like that... In a realistic world ANY man would have taken advantage of that, isn't it. I mean if at all they decided to show that scene, it would have looked ridiculous if no one touched her intimately. I mean, how could a sane man resist it... Look at her!!
@Fantasizer Yeah, it probadly would have happened in real life. It would have been great if there was deleted or extended scene in the dvd series which shows how her wrists & ankles were being chained up with a close up shot of her face while she was unconcious. And it would have been great if George had removed her magic belt making her powerless while she was lying down on the floor.
@360whiplash Yes. The nice thing about the magic belt is that when you simply take it off, she becomes helpless, while in that SEXY outfit, among the nasty villains...! It's such a simple thing to do & the outcome is so wonderful (and rewarding if you like)! It beats me that not many villains did it. Except in 'Fausta...' & 'The Bushwhackers' (wish she was in her usual costume in the latter) in season 1. (Remember the look on her face when they took it off in that one? Great!)
@Fantasizer It would have been a great 2 part episode if George had removed the magic belt from Wonder Woman while she was unconcious and decided to take her prisoner and when she woke up inside the jail cell she would have been powerless to break the chains. It would have been great to see her try to escape and try to fight and defeat George without the use of her powers while she was still wearing her costume.
@Fantasizer Yeah, it would have been great to see her manhandled and bossed around by George if he had removed her magic belt & lasso and taken her prisoner. I would have liked to have seen her fight George without her powers while she was still in costume.
@Fantasizer Who could forget Part 2 of "Judgement From Outer Space", the episode in which Wonder Woman travels to Germany and tries to rescue Andros from the Nazis? When Andros doesn't cooperate, he gives the Nazis the opportunity they need to remove Wonder Woman's magic belt and strip her of her powers. As Wonder Woman looks at Andros, the expression on her face is priceless and says it all:"Well, Andros, I hope you're happy! Thanks to you, they have my belt and lasso and I'm just as you are!"
It would have been better if "George" had been cast a woman.A evil rogue scientist pretending to be mentally challenged. Also, using that potent KO gas so close between him (her)& WW they should have donned a gas mask.
I always loved it when Wonder Woman got knocked out! Lynda Carter always looked incredibly sexy in that costume, but became even more so when she was unconscious and helpless! This scene was taken from the "Murderous Missile" episode and was the only time Wonder Woman had an "in-costume" KO during the CBS seasons (1977-1979). All the other KOs were set during World War 2, when she fought the Nazis in the previous season, which aired on ABC!
Yep that's right, thanks. I loved every bit of it too! The 1st season had some very enjoyable knock outs!
She looks more sexy in the following seasons, but sadly there weren't many knock outs in them as far as I gather. But I really wish there were more...!
doyou like wonder woman zardor i like the slow verson ihave wonderwoman season one and two on dvd plese write back sowe can talk more about her ilove wonder woman super man 24a
I always thought that Lynda Carter, with her facial expressions, was most convincing portraying a helpless Wonder Woman; especially effective was the look of horror on Wonder Woman's face when a villian removed her magic belt and she lost her Amazon powers.
Are there any other knock out scenes in the Wonder Woman 2nd season apart from this & the small scene in 'Deadly Toys'? And are there any good knock out scenes in the Wonder Woman the 3rd season?
That's true. What I thought was funny about this video is when "George's" friend asks him, "Is she dead?" and we can clearly see Wonder Woman breathing.
coool!!!!!!!!!!

As the show progressed she became more powerful that stuff didn't work. They needed to give a weakness or there would be no show.
