Damn... Who many tech's do you need put up some S4's and fressnelle? 2 techs would be fine for that job. And when the rig was flown in the slings, did you guys use steel for safety?
@lighttech258852 Null and void. You posed a non argument. Slings are temporary, just like this show, the A1 mentions it as an annual show. Slings are ok, steel is stupid for a 1 off. It's a ballroom, weird rigging situation. Sling more valuable than steel. Choose your fight, when you know better.
@lighttech258852 I'm pretty sure the chance of fire is unlikely, in STEEL OR ALUMINUM truss. I know the rules, union wants steel, non union doesn't care. It's also the difference of knowing and communication with the venue. If a fire breaks out, from socapex, your pick line SHOULD be independent. Too bad you lighting guys can't work a fire extinguisher...
@bo0tsy1 - Are you stupid? If the buildings caughts fire, and fire/rescue services go in to save people they should no be at risk to get a complete lighting rig i the head, becuase some smart ass rigger thinks he is smarter then the rules! ALWAYS follow the rules, is people like you there not should be aloud in the buisness!
@lighttech258852 Let me guess, send me a picture and you will never set foot on my show. You are a typical lighting guy, you don't realize that is IT ALL SOUNDS THE SAME IN THE DARK.
I have to agree with Chris...been there, done that. Try doing the same thing you're talking about with only three techs. I can't believe you had that many techs for one little piece of truss and some Genie towers. LOL
You're just as ignorant. I'm sure he didn't JUST have seven technicians strictly for lighting. Is this a Union run house? You don't know, what are their protocols? You don't know that either
Very nice setup, I'm planning on starting a small niche lighting service for bands etc. Where would I find the type of crank truss that you use, I can't believe it cranks with all those instruments on it. Thanks!
Well aren't you just a bad ass then? I can almost bed MY (non existent) company that you don't HAVE a company. If you had a company, I doubt you'd give two shits about commenting on a youtube video and also you'd take time to proof read what you've typed. Get a life
I am very disturbed? Not at all. It's retarded when people act the way that Chris did. Trust me, i'm not "pissed off" at all. Ignorant people are just stupid. Including yourself. Do you know anything about rigging?

@lighttech258852 I'd put my faith in a spanset before I'd put my faith in YOUR rubbish rigging.
