  • Love that intense is so beautiful and tragic.

  • I had the original vinyl. Heard it on alternative FM in the Twin Cities. 35 years later cleaning out an attic in a Public Radio station in Kodiak, Alaska I found it again. The second album was played only twice in 35 years up to the day I played it for all of Kodiak to enjoy. The phones rang off the lines, people asking what the hell it was. Truley the finest grouping of music in a 100 years for a couple of lovers that enjoyed each other's company!!

  • Ordered this album today. I can't wait to get it.

  • God this is a beautiful song. I used to have this album. Lent it out and never got it back. Itunes does not have it.

  • First, this is awesome imagery for this most awesome song! Thank you...now, when Fleetwood Mac does their final tour of their career(i know i dread it too) Lindsey and Stevie must, ABSOLUTELY MUST, perform this song last, right after LONG DISTANCE WINNER..Agreed? So say we all?

  • When there's 257 likes and 0 dislikes, you know that's a quality song.

  • This union showcased the unique harmonies of Stevie and Lindsey like nothing else. I don't think Stevie ever shined so brightly as she did during this time.

  • Is just an electric guitar being used here or is there an acoustic as well/instead?

  • @CrazySlyHawk Hey!!! I don't know what song you are listening to. This is just an acoustic guitar, no electric here... duh!!!

  • @csblue Okay, maybe at the end, but the first five minutes is all acoustic !!!

  • This album is amazing i love it :) They really should re release it

  • 2:06 - Lindsey favors Jeff Lynne in that shot! ;)

  • Great solo

  • Can't seem to find any Fritz on Youtube. Any takers?

  • What a perfect song, from their harmonies to the aching lyrics to the guitar interlude. Glad it's here, thanks.

  • it was great to grow up and be apart of all the rock history. so much good music. i don't think anything like to 60's thru 70's will happen in the near future. maybe someday.....

  • this is one of the most beautiful rock songs in history. when i first heard this song at 18 yrs. it just blew me away. the love in this song is incredible. the quitar and vocals at superb. buckingham-nicks are incredible artists. this whole album is great. thanks for touching my heart

  • wow did not know they brought so many songs to fleetwoodmac

  • I'm from Birmingham Alabama. This song and album were played like crazy all over the rock stations there. I think it was the only city in the US that went for it so hard. You can still hear it on the radio sometimes, even in the age of digital nationwide playlists.

  • This is so good it takes my breath away. Prog-folk- rock, so many things going on.

  • So sad they never had a child........

  • @86443 What a talented child it would be!

  • Turin Brakes "Save Me (Underdog)" anyone?

  • heard this song for the first time ever today. LOVE IT!

  • were way ahead of their time.........that voice and guitar combined ............still no=and i lived in those days.....nrver forget this song at 18..........

  • Stellar

  • I've still got the vynil Buckingham-Nicks. Brings back memories of a time in my life where love was frozen. Until just recently, he died. Wow, we used to listen to this and we were so crazy, free and wild. And so much in love. Beautiful and in love. Good to remember. Sad, I can't have one more day to say all the things I'd like to say to him. FROZEN LOVE.

  • This is really Fleetwood Mac, most of the songs an htis album are done later with Fleetwood Mac. I have the record. It's really great stuff.

  • For a high quality CD of Buckingham Nicks for those that do not want to down load, go to blalocksgaragemusic on the web, it is unauthorized but is from the studio source and has the live tracks too and is over 70 minutes.

  • second time I've played this today and it probably wont be the last.

  • Thank you for posting this, you've done a great job...

  • That you for posting this, you've done a great job..

  • Wow - so good - I can understand why, after hearing this Mick Fleetwood invited them to join Fleetwood Mac

  • Thank you for downloading these! I thought I was never going to hear this again!

  • What the heck album is this on??

  • @chillian75,

    Buckingham Nicks 1973.

The album is long out of print. The cds available (ebay) are boots, but you can search and download the album easily.

  • @clayopalstar Crazy that... someone really missed the re-release boat here.

First heard this as background music in a Knoxville restaurant on a football weekend/family -get-together with my brother's future in-laws. As everyone was doing the "getting to know you" thing, this music was moving me in such a dramatic way that I insisted the cute waitress find out who it was and bought it the very next day. Still have my pristine copy! Thank you for posting such an excellent quality version!

  • @clayopalstar its actually not really that hard to find. you can find the LP at pretty much any used record store or thrift store, i've seen a ton. I know alot of people dont listen to records but ive seen the cd a bunch of places too

  • @clayopalstar how can i find it to download? can you help me? thanks..

  • @drfstarks1,

Search "Buckingham Nicks Deluxe Edition" in google images. There are many blogspots you can download it from! Make sure to get a high quality version at 320kps. "The Coffee Plant Demos" is another one to search for...

  • @clayopalstar OK, since the Feds have seized the filesharing site, is there any other way to get this song? I've seen one or 2 vinyl copies, but honestly, I wanted to download it.

  • @otter1366,

Megaupload is back at 109(dot)236(dot)839(dot)66/ but is not functional yet.

Search Buckingham Nicks Expanded Edition and check the links in the available blogspots for rapidshare or other links that still work.

  • such a great duo :D

  • I love that this song is so long. I wish it would go on for hours

  • Do love this. SoundS good on my VPI classic. I still love Stevie..

  • This is the one that Mick Fleetwood liked enough to consider them for the band, is that right?

  • @IzzyIsou,

Yes. It was the song that was played for him to check out the studio acoustics and the recording quality... and Mick wanted to know who the guitar player was!

When he asked Lindsey to join Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey said he and Stevie were a "package deal" and it was both of them or none. Mick agreed, thinking they would just get rid of Stevie later if she didn't fit in...!

  • @clayopalstar Great! Thanks! I just read that in the latest issue of The New Yorker magazine -- great article on Stevie there!

  • I wondered why this was on rotation again....

  • @shuttledik Rotation? Are you on drugs????Haha,Im sure you are with that"very strange" comment......

  • @JennaP46 What the hell is wrong with you? Rotation - as in radio stations are playing the song. It's getting airplay on alt/country & indie stations. And aparently this is because the album is being re-released under a digital master.

Really don't understand what your comment is about.

  • Sheer beauty in song....it doesn't get much better than this...

  • Haha 0 dislikes!:D

  • @Kydos37 there's no need to be nasty with me. Just simply telling me where I can get the downloads LEGALLY would have been nice.

    Anyway.......thanks

  • @FumiDesigns I was just saying that I would rather not support the band if it meant I had to support iTunes. Forty million copies of Rumours later, I'm sure Lindsey and Stevie are doing pretty well financially and I doubt they care if their original LP is generating money anymore.

  • think the most fantastic song, a jewel, there´s nothing more to say

  • Awesome 70s soundz! This song is a classic! I used to hear it a lot in years past on classic rock stations in the area I live in. haven't heard it in a while. I read some years back that a 2 cd reissue edition of the Buckingham Nicks album was going to be released, but alas the plans fell through, but there's stiil hope that one day it will be rereleased.

  • just WOW!!!! love it thanks.

  • y isn't buckingham/nicks on ITUNES DAMMIT!? urgh!!!!!! i need this badly!

  • @FumiDesigns Because iTunes is a load of cock that's why. I got the whole album from the Pirate Bay and I'm sure a dozen other sites would facilitate you as well. C'mon man, if you're smart enough to enjoy this music and to have even found it, you should be smart enough to know that iTunes is a fucking scam

  • Never heard this before although I am a fossil that grew up in this era. Loved Fleetwood Mac and Stevie on her own but never heard this album. Stevies voice always mystifies me. Love it!!

  • wish fleetwood mac would try playing this live

  • Universal should reissue this album properly on CD!

  • This is a fantastic video. I had a cassette tape of Buckingham/Nicks.

  • Does anyone know Lindsey's tuning for this song? I know it starts in a Bm but if he's using a capo I don't know. All I do know is I want to learn the acoustic parts.

  • @weirdguy75 might be best just to buy the sheet music for guitar

  • @weirdguy75 Been playing this song for years in standard tuning with a capo on the 2nd fret. 1st chord is Am fingering and go from there.. :)

  • @jingmo thank you!

  • @weirdguy75 No prob! Have fun with it.. it's a great song to play.

  • these two put that sound into fleetwood mac.

  • OMG! This is the best version of this song that I have ever heard. I think the magic between Stevie and Lindsey is incredible! Not only does this song show off Stevie's talent but shows how amazing Lindsey's guitar playing really is.

  • One of their finest!!!!! Love This!!!!!!

  • So good!

  • At the end of the day when all is said and done, the merging of Lindsey and Stevie into "Fleetwood Mac" help put them on the map and elevate them to megastars (since their album Buckingham Nicks did little in terms of sales - it's now widely considered a classic)

Meanwhile, "Fleetwood Mac" got the burst of creative energy and drive it needed. The group had only achieve moderate success in the US at that point. With the arrival of their two new bandmates, they soared into super stardom

    WIN WIN

  • "In the way they did" is what I meant to say. Face it, maybe they were just that good!

  • @veritriphy ya where did they get it cuz no one current writes and plays like this wow amazing

  • A great collage to accompany the best song Stevie and Lindsey ever recorded in any of their bands. It still sends chills down my spine.

  • Stevie and Lindsey would have done what they did without FM. Maybe less, more or different. Mick should cease talking shit. If you don't know what I mean then you should go back in time a few years and see Feetwads website. I have no personal knowledge of how Lindsey is, but I know he is one of the best guitar players, singers, song writers and producers of what many call Fleetwood Mac.

  • Hi bud~ I love this song ^& album, but my copy is long lost; thanks for posting; brings me back...

    Amy

  • It would be awesome if Fleetwood Mac did this song. Lindsey and Stevie own this whole album.

  • GENIUS

  • the whole albhum is perfect i bought it wen i first came out and got in the habbit of giving to friends to spread the gospel of mac and i must have bought it 7 times since then. eternal

  • Nice. Had forgotten about this album.

  • nobody and I mean nobody can touch the harmony of these too.I am so glad to be apart of this era of these 2 people in there time. even today they are still a great thing to watch !!!

  • Love these guitar riffs: Lindsey is easily the most underrated guitar player in rock history

  • they we're so good "together". should've never ended that. guess it was the best thing to do at the time.

  • Thank you Rob and Alex for introducing Stevie and Lindsey's music to me back in 1975. I remember playing their album over and over. It's unbelieveable the impact they have had on my life. I love Stevie's mystical songs and Lindsey's guitar playing. I'm glad I grew up with their music and can still enjoy it. Beautiful!!!

  • I have always loved this song. Stevie can sing!!! And Lindsey can play!!! They are both so intense!! I love seeing them together!!! I have watched this so many times. I remember playing their album over and over.

  • I have always loved this song. Stevie can sing!!! And Lindsey can play!!! They are both so intense!! I love seeing them together!!!

  • i had the tape and lost it thank god for you tube

  • Have had the album since '76 and believe it's a top 10 and will be forever.

  • I simply cannot believe that if they had not joined Fleetwood Mac they would not have turned out some of the same stuff that they put out with Fleetwood Mac. I'm not trying to put Fleetwood Mac down, but in my opinion Fleetwood Mac was pretty much out of it at that time; and was desperate for what Buckingham Nicks had to offer. Lindsey and Stevie may have stuggled a bit more to get where they are today, but it would have happened.

  • left this LP somewhere in my moving around days - what a loss!!!

  • I think they were better then, than when they joined Mac

  • @howlnwolf59 I tend to agree with you- they were litterally and figuratively hungry in the days of this album - kwim?

  • outstanding!!!!!

  • Can see why Mick wanted them in the band.

  • This is a very good song! It tells a story. I heard it when I bought the album way way back! Together with Crystal these are amazing songs!!

Brings back a whole lot of memories. Thanks for posting!!

  • I heard this last night on "The Deep End With Nick Michaels"-- it blew me away!! I never knew those two were once a duo. That is some great work, and I'm not even a full-time fan! Thanks for posting.

  • I agree with the groovy graphics ! Anybody else notice the bassoon

  • This is the work of 2 geniuses! Love BnN

  • COOL. Groovy graphics too : ) and some great memorabilia. My favorite part starts at 3:44 and goes through Lindsey's cool solo, and back to those famous harmonies of theirs. Mmm mm.

  • simply one of the best songs EVAH
