  • 100% congratulations to Adele on Rolling in the Deep, it was truly an amazing song. But I really felt like Mumford & Sons deserved either Record of the Year or Song of the Year for the Cave. This song is beautiful, and the passion with which it is performed is overwhelming.

  • He looks like Tim Tebow in this video.

  • why are they all play'n left handed... it sounds great and bugs me to watch??

  • @silverado7000 Mirrored!

  • And to think I almost give up on new music...

  • @juanaugustolopez yeah same here, most music today is either raps about sex, alcohol, clubs, sluts, or drugs. And dont even mention Skrillex around me or I flip out. It's really great to find an amazing new band like this that plays actual music instead of that autotuned shit :D

  • Either the picture is inverted, or they can play both left and right handed, which - in that case - is just bragging.

  • I HATE ADELE haha no offense but my friends sing THAT every day to mock me but its ok because i love MUMFORD AND SONS!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rockyreallycrafty mumford and sons like adele though

  • @RosaVsEveryone WHAT!!!!

  • @rockyreallycrafty oops i meant WHAT! lol oh well.

  • Do these guys have passion for their music or what? They simply blow me away no matter how many times I hear their songs.

  • Wow they sound good live unlike most people...Adele was also really good live...

  • Watching this brings the biggest smile to my face, they're fucking amazing.

  • I like to look on artists like Lady Gaga and Rihanna as todays Abba, not very good and with no real depth but you'll still find yourself singing along.

To me Mumford and Sons are the real music of our time.

  • i get shivers when every i listen to them.

  • amazing live performance, that is what music is all about

  • And now.....A band that can't follow this performance.....The Avett Brothers

  • Did anyone notice he plays the lefthanded here but in the other vids righthanded that's just wicked!!!!! ;-)

  • @TinaRay damn your right that is crazy

  • @TinaRay It appears so only because the image is mirrored due to copyright issues, silly banana.

  • @KelsEyeMurpow yeah, I figured that out already, there goes my bubble! LOL ;-)

  • @TinaRay ...or as the text under the clip says - the image is mirrored... :)

  • @TinaRay the video is mirrored...

  • I have never know a band like this i love this whole cd. They rock!

  • These guys are one of the few modern music artists that don't suck. (Trust me, they're out there!)

  • Who said todays music sucks?

  • @1923GreenDay There are a few music artists today that don't suck (just like Mumford and Sons) but a lot of today's music is garbage.

  • AWESOME !

  • I was late to the game and just found out about them when I saw this great performance. It gave me chills and it still does

  • Great. Too bad I missed them there, I thought they- no wait... I thought they played in 2012.... :'(

  • what happened?!? stupid grammy people! they wasn't finished! i was just about to stamp on the ground :'(

  • 4 guys, their instruments, a stage and a true passion for entertaining....this is music at at it best!

  • Them live at reading leeds is just incredible, Watch the vid. Stunning

  • Why mirror? No one looks good in the mirror... well apart from these

  • part of the reason i love this performance so much is because you can see how much fun they are having and how much passion they have for the song.

  • This is true music.

  • It is the sign of a brilliant band that a song sounds not only the same as the studio version, but better when recorded live.

  • They sound way good!

  • Uploaded...tomorrow. Okay Youtube.

  • @roienn777 This is exactly a year old.

  • All these years I refuse to watch the Grammy's because of the crappy singers they have perform- and then I find out after the fact that I missed this! :(

  • @Jensengurl2 I was going to write almost the exact same thing! lol DITTO.... damn...

  • Still the best Grammy performance we have seen in years.

  • @homemadejobee The White Stripes were pretty epic.

  • they are the only people that can rock.out with a banjo. amazing performance.

  • its a shame that after such an amazing performance, another band is introduced right after them without any time for the audience to respond as much as they wanted to.

  • Such a shame they didn't win anything this year. BUT MAN! Were they up against some talented artists!

  • @WilGraceSon They never should have been put in the rock category with the Foo Fighters!!!! They are not rock!!! They are awesome and I can't wait until their next cd comes out:)

  • @WilGraceSon adele is talented, the others not so much

  • @WilGraceSon It's because they didn't release anything new this year so how could they be nominated! lol. But I agree, I wish they could have at least performed. I love them to death!

  • @WilGraceSon Who else was any categories they were in?

  • Comment removed

  • Best performance form last year...

  • so sad that they won't be performing this year at the grammy's! they will be missed.

  • It took 2 minutes 33 seconds for Mumford and son to take over America.

  • @TheFryersmuck ~ LOL I would agree, this was not exactly Bob's shinning moment on stage. He looked so bored. On the other hand, Mumfords looked great! They love what they do & do what they love!

  • English folk rock

  • Ohmygod if I see one more post about how Marcus Mumford looks like Tim Tebow I'm going to scream. If the only thing you get out of a beautiful performance of an amazing song is the fact that Marcus bears some resemblance to Tim Tebow then I'm sorry for you... Marcus Mumford is NOT Tim Tebow! Shut up!

  • @roflcopter5497 silly he is not tim tebow...just looks exactly like him! geez you actually thought that was tim performing......hmmm now that ya say it yup i think it is tim tebow! hwho the hell would thunk it, play football and play the guitar!

  • @BIGRED224FOREVER No I don't think that's tim performing... Marcus Mumford is nothing like Tim Tebow, never has been, never will be. EVER. Go watch a video of Tim Tebow and talk about him there. Next time try and actually enjoy this music instead of thinking about Tim... crazy idea, i know.

  • @roflcopter5497 I did exactly as you said , I watched tim tebow beat the steelers and yup, marcus in the flesh right there throwing the ball. I just could not belive marcus could play ball like that! He plays ball by day , guitar by night....c'monnnnnnnnnnn bonnarrooooooooooooo!

  • @roflcopter5497 Actually, I think old Marcus looks like Hanna Montanas real Dad.

See the tiny "HM" tattooed just above his L ear @ 4:07 > Geez, whooed-a-gessed~!

  • @4711StGermain funny...

  • what kind of genre..is this I'm sorry about my ignorance

  • @vivartiesto indie rock

  • @vivartiesto music.

  • @vivartiesto Where'd you park?

Too late~! Fryers has gone round and had your VW towed to Seattle.

  • They are so great.

  • Lol @ lojack.....perfect

  • This performance set them on fire and skyrocketed their careers. Great fucking performance.

  • f the avet brothers

  • About time someone came along that enjoyed their music & it shows & it's infectious.... 1st saw them @ the 25th Bridge School Benefit last year... & they stole it!

  • the most perfect performance. unbeleivable.

  • headbanging on indie folk... gotta love'm

  • Alec Baldwin and Tim Tebows love child.

  • @lojack0927 exactly what i was thinking all the time!

  • Ummmm? arent they rightys? why are they playing left handed...? lol

  • @ApollstarV3 the image is mirrored...

  • @ApollstarV3 u idiot, its mirrored

  • BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH SO HAPPY SO AMAZING SO WONDERFUL

  • TIM TEBOW?!?!

  • how in the world did these four wonderful men manage to steal the show...at the Grammys?!! Love love them!

  • I have followed Marcus and his three Sons for many moons now and I couldn't believe it when for a Christmas present, I was given a pair of Winstons string vest and underpant matching sets. Don't get me wrong I am mighty proud to be wearing his lingerie but it was his banjo that I had asked Father Christmas for. Still musn't grumble.

  • Grande!

  • I think I love them so much because they love what they do so much.

  • dang....how do you follow that?

  • Yum.

  • This is the best band ever

  • Its 5:39 in the morning!

I am still listening to this!!!

  • It braught happy tears to my eyes...!!!

  • I was lucky enough to get tickets for this knockout performance!! Unfortunately I didn't wake up in time and missed the whole show.I didn't feel any disappointment though due to the fact that I can also levitate.

  • look at him riding that banjo!

  • 0:56 look @ the banjo guy grindin' on dem stings! lool damn!

    this band is AMAZING!

  • That awkward moment when you realize Tim Tebow is the lead singer of Mumford and Sons.

  • What I liked about this performance was that besides the singing, they were extremely nerbous at the beginning. Then when I watched to the end, they were singing their hearts out. I was like: "HELL YES"

  • Two words: or. gasmic.

  • I was searching for Dylan and came across this video. I am now also a fan of these boys. Fantastic music making.

  • Only reason everyone enjoyed this performance so much was because they enjoyed the performance as well:D

  • SO MUCH HAPPINESS!

  • 1:52 .. that VERY moment. That is the very moment I fell in love with this band. I knew at that moment that they LOVE what they do. And it makes my love for their music even stronger.

  • @Arey1992 This is the performace that made me fall in love with them, and for exactly the same reason. I love what they do, and they love it too.

  • @Arey1992 same here...i never heard of mumford & sons until this performance last year at the Grammy's...i love this band & every song that they sing. I cannot wait to hear their next album!!

  • @Arey1992 ditto!

  • @Arey1992

I'm not even clicking on the 1:52 you placed there. I know exactly what moment you're talking about because that's when they became my favorite band <3

  • @Arey1992 For me, It was them shaking that platform with the legs. haha

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • He's not playing lefty...the whole image is reversed...you'll even notice "Nord" on the keyboard is backwards. Still impressive though!

  • You know your talented and creative when you play the guitar both as a lefty and a righty.... unreal, so much more respect for this man and the band for that matter.

  • @gdconnor17 Think I'm Bluffing? check any one of the Bookshop Sessions videos

  • So yeah, homeboy looks like Tim Tebow.

  • @NoRegretsForOurYouth LOLZ, it's funny cuz it's true

  • @NoRegretsForOurYouth agreed. so does the guitarist from Foster The People

  • @NoRegretsForOurYouth nah. I'd say tim tebow looks like marcus mumford.

  • @heimburgchr22 I suppose your right, Mumford is the senior.

  • go flyers!

  • Fuck ya banjo!

  • they sound the same recorded and live <3

  • I love a band that you can see just loving what they do. Seeing some one genuinely loving playing the music they play. it makes the performance so much more enjoyable.

  • Comment removed

  • One of the greatest Grammy performances in recent times. Seeing them genuinely have a great time jamming, especially at 1:45, had more power then any of the other costly, big production numbers that so artists today focus on. Mumford achieved so many new fans through this performance, and they deserve every one of them.

  • ohhhh myyy, they just went beast mode on the stage...goodness thats just a great performance

  • F***** awesome. Go flyers

  • It's impossible not to tap your foot while listening to this.

  • Bob Dylan told reporters after this performance that he knew he was going to get on with the Mumford boys when he saw they had flippers instead of feet when they took their socks off. He felt confident enough after seeing this to show them his. dorsal fin. They are going to go back to school.

  • @TheFryersmuck

    Really~?

  • @TheFryersmuck Dear Fryers (nay, Marcus - cause a goodly lot of M&S followers think you really are Marcus -himself!) I digress, Marc - please release a live version of your songs on album #3. There are a lot of us here on the island who will never get to see you perform (notsomuch an island, actually it's an old VW camper, on pilings. Coal fired generator powers our CD player & Keurig - but no engine. Hence, we'll be needing a 'M & S LIVE" CD, you see. Thanks.

  • Mumford and Sons is the best band to listen to when your having a bad day

  • Fascinating how he can be under such pressure and yet perfectly play his Guitar & sing at the same time. So much respect !

  • I guess Tim Tebow can sing and play the guitar too.

  • Comment removed

  • These guys are the greatest! Love their use of horns.

  • these absolutely destroyed any chance of anyone else of actually topping this performance

  • ...and this is when I fell in love with Mumford and Sons.

  • I am always looking for a new place to stay and my psychiatrist thinks this might have something to do with my parents being nomads. Its no secret that I was abandoned at a tender age and adopted by a couple of travellers who left me in a rice field where I was found by the local witch doctor who called me "the chosen one" and made me the king of the jungle. It was me who got broadband put in everyones treehouse and thats why we listen to Mumford and his three young sons.

  • @TheFryersmuck What is this? I don't even...

  • to the head-banging banjo player, you're awesome :)

  • lol guitar looks so funny when its mirrored like that

  • Their album has just been certified double platinum in the US

  • They cut out the Avett Brothers.... they also had a stellar performance. Really two of the best bands around.

  • For that brief moment, Mumford made the world love folk :]

  • Many years ago I was cleaning windows for a living and when I had finished, the owner of the house called me many insulting and hurtful names, after he inspected my workmanship. He told me the windows were dirtier than before I started, and he wouldn't pay me if I didn't do them all again. It was quite a while after this I found out the man was actually Stevie Wonder.

  • Anyone else thinks he looks a little bit like tim tebow in this?

  • @DylanBacskayDavis You mean Tebow looks like Marcus

  • @DylanBacskayDavis NO!! he doesn't look like tim tebow. tim tebow looks like him -__-

  • This song is so brilliant... Gives me chills every time. ;)

  • He can play left and right handed, god I love marcus

  • @JordanHillification Vid's flipped. c:>

  • @PokoRocks1234 oh right, well i'm sure marcus wouldnt struggle ;) hes amazing

  • @JordanHillification He is GODDAMN amazing. c:

  • 1:52. cant help but smile :D

  • !!!!!!!!! YES !!!!!!!!!

  • ok...seriously? playing the guitar, kick drum AND singing at the same time?? that's pure talent right there. every person in this group is just so good at what they do, and it makes me so happy to see that there are people who still appreciate genuinely great music.

  • I love the sheer joy at 1:52. That's how it feels to make great music, and that is exactly what they're doing. Hats off, gentlemen.

  • This made me so happy, I cried. No joke.
