I don't know who this guy is (the CNN host) but I COMPLETELY agree with him.

Personally, I DESPISE the niqab & what I believe it represents in terms of oppression & authoritarianism, HOWEVER, whether I like it or not is IRRELEVANT.I defend a woman's(or ANYONE'S) right to wear whatever they want(including the niqab)despite the fact that I despise the niqab,because it is a civil-liberties issue; &if we set the precedent of banning a certain garment, then banning anything else becomes justifiable.

@ammarios Laws protecting freedom of expression and civil-liberties and freedom of association exist to protect UNPOPULAR speech/expression. It doesn't matter whether someone likes or dislikes niqabs, it is the person's right to wear whatever they want and not have their civil-liberties violated. Laws like the 1st amendment in the U.S exist for exactly that purpose, which is to protect an individual's freedom to express/cloth themselves how they see fit DESPITE it not being popular.
