dude not taking the piss or anything its nice setup there but what is the advantage having some much hdd space and what are the gains say over my Dell E520 spec pc. Thing is my soundcard is already external to an outboard dac and really its only playing music pretty much most of the time. Still is it worth shedding out the money as when i have some to lash out on an exotic machine?

That's a lot of hardware to watch Youtube with... good hardware makes sense when it has a practical application, but what I'm seeing with how you have everything set up, you've got all that crap for a media player. You've got gamer hardware on a dresser in front of a wall mounted monitor... not a sign of someone setting a gaming system that would utilize that hardware.

No such thing as overkill. It's called Future Proofing. Cause guess what. If I want a second GTX470 after buying one next week. I have to buy another power supply. Because I couldn't be fucked waiting a few more weeks to get a higher powered psu. I got a Corsair TX650. I'd be lucky if I could add another hard drive and fan plus OC. And I don't think it's going to happen with a GTX470 in my system. I suspect my PSU is going to be noticably hotter and louder. Loud card too. Oh well.

@DetroitPC313 yeah I have a nice computer and I build it entirely from money I earned not from friends or family but from a real job and I am only in highschool. really instead of eating out every day or spending tons of money on clothes and things. always buy what is on sale and maybe eat out once a week at most ect. you will have enough money to buy anything. such as a very nice computer. and remember we all didnt make the money in 1 day :P

bro 3 way sli 480's, now that would be impressive. I dont get the point of so many HDD's, very pointless in my opinion. Nice sub but I would go with a Klipsche system. Klipsche is not as known as Bose, but I would have to say that Klipsche is better. I watched some movie awhile back with a Klipsche surround system, felt like I was in the movie, everything was shaking. Its like the couch was simulated.

@DetroitPC313 I will mostly use them for Home Theater. But I will also use them a little for music. I do know a lot about this sub and it potential and I'm not going by the specs sheet either. I have read a lot about its performance on avfourums. I do know it doesnt have a lot of mid bass but shines in the lower register witch is fine because my RB-81 take care of the mids. I should have a New video of my full Home theater set up by Monday so I will send you a message when i do.

If you go SSD later on like you said, make sure you get an "SLC" flash and not that cheap "MLC". SLC is more server grade, but it has a longer MTBF, and I can't tell you how many dead cheap drives I've ripped out of a customers server and replaced with some laptop drives because they didn't have the cash to shell out on a new SSD.
