hey i live in northern britain near manchester in the pennines im surrounded by hills and theres a nature reserve i go to it and i will go to the moorland and heathlands around but can you give me a few tips to picture those animals thankyou
awesome, seen a few juvenile viviparous lizards and a ciuple of adders but that is a spectacular set of photos some VERY gravid lizards in there, either that or the bugs are in abundance!
I'm very glad you enjoyed the video. We've had such a mild winter that I expect that this summer we'll see a great number of reptiles around the Western Heights. I expect it'll be a very productive summer as insects will be aplenty. I'm still awaiting that kick-dead adder photo though. They are such timid creatures, I really hope my luck will be in.
Yep, I do live in Dover. Those marshes in New Romney are really spectacular for dragonflies in summer. You are really lucky to live in such a beautiful natural area. I've never seen a Marsh Frog...one day...fingers crossed.
@Joe1507 i live in the marsh out back of lydd airport n theres a few lakes out there wich are defantly worth havin a look around snakes frogs toads :) iv never seen any lizard though i used to see newts wen i was a kid but havnt seen any for a long time :)
Hi, apparantly there are quite a few to be found at the Western Heights, especially basking on the concrete remains of the old Officer's Quarters near the Drop Redoubt. Samphire Hoe has a sizeable population too but I've not seen one there yet. I found one in Cowgate cemetary last week but she disappeared as soon as she got wind of me. Just luck of the draw I guess.

Nice one. I've seen quite a few lizards around Dover, but haven't come across any adders, though I know there's lots of them about.
