I love that he shows Thulsa Doom's head to his disciples and votaries, just silently saying "He isn't a god; just a man" destroying Doom's ethos that flesh is stronger than steel. This movie comes in for a lot of stick from Conan purists (I'm a fan of the Movies, the Savage sword comics and the original REH stories, though I've never read any De Camp/Carter/Jordan works), but it's really very clever.

Like you I grew up with the film and the comics.That's the only point of reference I've got with Conan.I still enjoy the film and I loved the comics.Barry Windsor Smith's (Weapon X),take on Conan has and always will be a personal favourite.

I'm curious about the new film.It could be a fantastic film or not.Jason Momoa looks the part but can he play it?It may help launch his career in film as the original did for Arnold.Time will tell.

fucking epic dude!!!! this song totally fits the character and is a great piece of music.A friend of mine had this movie on one of the first laserdisc players and we used to watch it all the time when we were around 12 yrs old.I still love this movie.we used to synch it up to Black sabbath music too.this Godsmack song rocks though.don,t listen to the haters on here,yeah polderis' score was great too,but this is something unique and a fresh take for someone who has seen the movie 100s of times.
