This is my personal favorite song from Barbra. It's so often overlooked, but it has been so much a part of what has many times gotten me over troubles since I was in high school (when it was released on 45 rpm) and also it's given me strength to carry on and even to go beyond what I think I can't to do, when I have felt the need for it. I'm so glad someone made a video for this tune.

Barabra~ I grew up listening 2 your voice floating around the soft breezy afternoons. You were the voice of my childhood. You were like listening to a music box: handle with care.

When you sang this song I use to envision one little bird singing happily all by himself. Now as a woman I see that little male songbird was singing along with you and is a man by now & knows all your songs by heart & if you listen to the child, you might hear him singing his song for you. Thank you for your song.

@alexanuchid She recorded this song in the late seventies. I used to have the ulbum, I can't remember the name of it now. I think it was "A Star is Born," the movie she was in with Kris Kristoffsen. (spelling?)

My husgand is gone now..This song was playing in a resturant the first time I looked in his face..in 30 year`s..the love was more alive than ever...We married and this song brought us to tears and is still in my heart...I am alone now..But..he is still my songbird!

Streisand is my songbird. If she ever can't sing anymore, a chapter in pop music history has come to a close. She is the greatest female singer of the century, IMO.

@laarbe ONE OF THE BEST? I think you need to have your ears attended to. She is THE BEST. Can you think of anyone today who comes anywhere close to her perfect phrasing and her perfect pitch. Not my favorite song but it doesn't matter Barbra can sing anything and it still sounds perfect.
