i can watch this clip over and over and still get a tear in my eye. this will almost have the same magnitude of glory that Paul Henderson has with the summit series
I still get goosebumps to this day watching this! I wish we always hosted the Olympics. The magic it brought to this country was unbelievable. It was like we were like family. Until next time :) Go Canada Go, baby!!
I miss the Olympic games :( I was excited wen Canada was versing the us in the gold medal game. Than after Crosby scored the game winning goal I was excited cuz we won the gold medal, I cried a bit to after Crosby won us the game. Than I knew all that was left for the Olympics was the closing ceremonies, than I was sad wen they announced it was time to extinguish the flame and said ladies gentlemen the 2010 winter Olympic games are over
Im French Canadian and you know sometimes we are not realy proud of canada. Not much quebecers in the team people was a litle bit devastated about that situation but i wil remember all my life watching this game with my dad. He is a hater of Crosby when crosby touch the puck and skate to the offensive zone he said : ENCORE L'ASTI DE CROSBY ! who means not the fucking crosby again... he receive the puck shooots and scores i watch him and he was devastated.. this day i was proud to be Canadian.
Man, do i ever love Sidney Crosby. I wish USA would have won this game, but i don't think we even would have cared the next day. To you guys it meant the world, so i'm glad you got it.
I was watching this game with my dad in a bar when this goal happend, and for the first time ever i witnessed strangers hugging strangers, grown men crying, its almost as if time slowed down, almost like a movie. Everytime i watch this it just make me feel even more proud to be Canadian :)
@paintball234969 You summed up every Canadian Hockey Fan. I have watched this montage over and over and over. I get emotional every time. GOD I LOVE CANADA!!!!!!
@stopdropandroll This doesn't compare to Alexander Burrow's goal in game seven of round one of the Stanley cup playoffs? Are you fucking retarded? This goal is part of Canadian history! Is burrows shooting a nuckle puck top shelf part of Canadian history? No. No goal ever scored can compare to this.
@incredibleCANADIAN Joe Sakic in '02 and Paul Henderson in '72 can compare, and those are the only two that even come close. I still think Crosby gets the nod.
If this video doesn't make the hair on the back of your neck stand up and bring a small tear of joy to your eye, then I regret to inform you that YOU are NOT a Canadian.
A country united, whether white, black, asian, arab for one moment, everyone watching and hugging anyone near you in the moment. Truly moving and there won't be a time when I don't cry watching this.
One of the BEST moments in HOCKEY HISTORY. We lose all our amazing CANADIAN players to the american teams... and this moment in time proved that if all CANADIAN players would play for CANADIAN teams... well, we all know the rest.
when crosby scored even my sisters who don't like hockey jumped off the couch and screamed i jumped like ten feet in the air(not literally) screaming my lungs out. i cried during O Canada and ssang it loud and proud the greatest moment of my life now everytime i sing O Canada i cant help but swell with pride thank you Sid :)

Closing in??? The gap's already closed. Sweden, Russia, USA...they're all right there.
Which makes it all the more impressive that Canada still manages to win their fair share of golds in every tournament they play. And yes, it is a possibility that they don't medal, but like in any short tournament, it's a lot to do with talent, a bit of luck, and how well the player gel (chhemistry) that dictates that usually determines who prevails.... oh yeah, one other thing called heart
This is definitely the hockey moment of my life. Sitting in the living room with all my relatives , even those who didnt like hockey. The fear we felt when Parise tied the game , but the relief and incredible pride we felt when Syd scored that winning goal. What an incredible moment!
The greatest part about this whole thing was that every Canadian was watching this game including some that don't follow hockey. I can't say who but you can guess.
We proved to the world that we're not just nice and friendly people but that we're also just as strong and united in the things we love to do. LOVE CANADA!!!!!!!!! And so proud of my country!!!!!!!!!!
When this happened my father cried. It has happened only once that I can remember. Then we hugged for the first time in twenty years, then mom cried!!!
omg at that day I was in california and I did'nt know wath channel to watch this so at the end when my friend call me from montreal saying me that canada won I was crying I was sooo happy I had tears on my eyes and I was screaming in all my aunt house and I was screaming in the face of my american cousins Hockey is our sporrttt!!!! steal crying now lol
The 2010 Olympics was such a memorable experience. I'll never forget it. I live in BC and I was in the midst of it all. I remember exactly where I was when Crosby scored and every time I hear Nikki Yanofsky's song "I Believe" it takes me back to those two weeks.
I love how at 1:02 Canada's Head Coach Mike Babcock, isn't jumping around when Crosby score, he's just standing there. I guess He knew they were gonna win. Go Canada
People in Toronto don't want to keep supporting a losing team that's why...yes Montreal hasn't won it all since '93 but at least they haven't missed the playoffs for the past 5 seasons straight...MLSE is what is killing the Leafs since they are worried more about padding teachers' pensions than putting a winning product on the ice/basketball court/soccer pitch...you get the idea.
Im fench and sometimes other people in canada says french fries.....nananana and sometime i sais fucking english but at this days when crosby scores i was proud to be a canadian!!!! and this is in the moment like that we forgot racist and all the other thins like thats! canada meilleur pays du monde!!!
It's been five months since that day, and when I stumbled across this video, I still got tears in my eyes. I am so proud to be Canadian and I might cry just thinking about how amazing and special that day was. Thanl you Team Canada for making us all proud Canadians-3
Without question the best moment of this is around 40 seconds and that old guy in his sweater just getting up and running with his hands in the air right after the goal
I was sitting in my family room here in Dallas TX when Sid putting the icing on the cake to an absolutly wonderful display by Canada and Canadians! I am American but was born in Canada, and when it comes to the ice my heart is still Canadian Red!
@brabdonorbrandon Yes sir I do, and a lot of that is due to the fact that I never really got into football, basketball, and baseball until after moving to the States. I spent my early years in Edmonton and I've been an Oilers fan for as long as I can remember.
@brabdonorbrandon How the hell does that make me a bandwagoner? Lived in Edmonton so Im a fan of the Oilers, lived in Utah so Im a fan of the Jazz, live in Texas so I'm a fan of the Cowboys. Any other ignorant comment?
My heart was beating out of my chest right down to the last millisecond during that game. Vancouver 2010 will be remembered in the hearts of all Canadians, 'til the end of time. Thanks, Sidney!
what a way to end the olympics the biggest rivals go head to head in ot for the gold and the golden goal is scored by the one and only... Sidney Crosby!
I think one thing that is absolutely magical about this montage, is when Crosby scores and is jumping up and down with his arms in the air like he's the king of the world, you see 20 some odd grown men celebrating with him just like when they were little kids playing hockey whether it be on ice, on the street, or wherever. Not too mention the fact that an ENTIRE country is screaming their lungs out in celebration. Definitely the loudest country on the planet at that time.
all of you canadians booing crosby in the regular season should be ashamed with yourselves. you would never boo him if he was playing with canada, so dont boo him playing for the penguins. respect :)
oh man, i always get hard core chills everytime i watch the goal, than the crowd erupting. my science teacher told me that before the goal, if you walked outside, you wouldn't hear anything, than suddenly everyone would be going crazy. i wish i could've gone to vancouver during the olympics, i can only imagine what it'd be like..
@FrenchFromage101 It was beyond amazing! Can't describe it, just the atmosphere around the Lower Mainland, not just Vancouver, was once in a lifetime kind of experience, totally overwhelming patriotism!
Easily the best moment of my life

Thanks for the post!

all of you canadians booing crosby in the regular season should be ashamed with yourselves. you would never boo him if he was playing with canada, so dont boo him playing for the penguins. respect :)

oh man, i always get hard core chills everytime i watch the goal, than the crowd erupting. my science teacher told me that before the goal, if you walked outside, you wouldn't hear anything, than suddenly everyone would be going crazy. i wish i could've gone to vancouver during the olympics, i can only imagine what it'd be like..

@FrenchFromage101 It was beyond amazing! Can't describe it, just the atmosphere around the Lower Mainland, not just Vancouver, was once in a lifetime kind of experience, totally overwhelming patriotism!
