@MegaAwsomeguy5 but people were panicing they didn't now what to do. maybe in the end it was like every man for himself kind of thing. Plus the ships crue wasn't sure if the life boats could hold that many. they could've handled it differently and those 500 people would have lived.
men of honor is a rare thing to come by these days, its the story of the titanic and the people onboard that makes this story and everything about the titanic a fantastic story, i wonder how people would react if this same event started to happen again.
Other sources say that the Titanic hit a growler, rather than an iceberg. Which is basically an iceberg that is totally underwater, and more easily seen from above. So, it could have been seen by anyone at a certain height above it. Growlers can have their 'heads' above the surface of the water, meaning anyone can see them. They're not liars, they used the evidence to come to the most likely conclusion, as well as witness accounts. Seeing as you were not there, you are the liar.
@sanibel03 they were for first class only and third class passengers were locked in below they were murdered it was prove years later when they entered the ship as white star said they were open in fact they were locked in
The people in that 1st class cabin were the Widener family. They were rich beyond anyones wildest dreams. Check out the Lynnewood Hall mansion. Both father and son died that night. Wife and maid survived.
It's a tragedy that Lifeboat #1 carried only 12 people! dude, really? The maximum is 40 capacity. There's should be more people survived. :(
about 705 people survived of of 2,000 something? wow. Imagine if they put more people in lifeboat #1 at least 28 more people will be survived. and that A LOT of people.
@coolgirl9202 apparently the crew were not taught how to work the lifeboats, so they probably didnt even know how many could fit, but it is really trajic!
thats really sad when they said 500 more lives could have been saved! i wouldnt have cared about leg room or that i would have loaded them up to the brim!!!! gosh some people back then! lol just kidding but still......
The sinking is sad but also facsinating.I mean you know it slowly sinks, the stern rises up,the lights which amazingly burned all the time till the final 2 minutes the break up.Anyway RIP all the people, dogs and every life that died that night.
I really hope titanic will last for hundreds of years to come down to the bottom of the sea!!!!!!!!

Whoever was captaining the ship that didnt respond to a blatent distress call was a complete douche. If only he took the place of some of the brave people who died to save others.
Actually, that's quite an idea. But by the time we have the technology to do that, Titanic would've rusted away and left as a pile of encrusted rubble on the sea floor. Actually, I've always thought that all the world's old landmarks, like the Colesseum, should be put under domes to preserve them for future generations.
Many wish this tragedy hadn't occurred. Remember that if this incident hadn't happened, shipbuilders wouldn't have considered taking safety measures for future ships. People wouldn't have learned that as much as we can conquer and reach, we are not unbeatable. We're fragile, men and women. Most importantly, society learned that a person's life matters more than their social stance. To think, that today a person's class decided whether or not they had a right to live. It could have been worse...
@juniwilliams Blame the feminists.. If a catastrophy like this would have taken place today - The men wouldnt say "The Women and children first!" They would say - Fuck the Women and children!
@maureen1002 yeah its really crazy. I always wonder if anyone trapped deep inside the hull of the ship could have survived part of the journey down underwater. If there had been a pocket of air or like inside the ships vault if someone got in and locked them selves in. What do you guys think??
@bronco2121 u never no, people back in those days really only cared bout themselves, and a got some of them were men. Im not trying to be sexist but thats just how it could of been

@alli080808 indeed...I think she probably would have been scrapped...just like her sister the Olympic...this would happen of course after a long and colorful career.
Edward Smith had already piloted Titanic's sister ship the Olympic into hazards with the other ships, that resulted in hull breaches and flooded compartments. So why would he order the Titanic to steam ahead of full speed into what his experience certainly would have told him was a minefield of ice growlers? Perhaps it is true, that Smith was under orders as a Jesuit coadjutor to sink the ship with billionaires aboard, to help create the Federal Reserve Act. It's likely Smith did just that.
@stars1776 She wasnt used in a conspiracy of any sort. Smith wasn't on the bridge at the time of the hit & had no way of knowing an iceberg was 4 sure in his path. She was sunk by arrogance plain & simple, & the other "hazards" you mention you're being dishonest. The crash of the Hawke & Olympic was a result of suction from the huge liner's props sucking in the smaller warship. There had been no experience with ships of as big as the Olympic class, so in essence nobody knew how to drive them.
they are very strong lights. The only problem is one, it is very very dark down there plus the water is murky therefore making it harder to see. Two, the submersible uses batteries. With all of their equipment sonar, tracking, communitcations. etc they cant afford to have stronger lights because even with the lights they have now they can only stay a maximum of two hours before they have to begin to ascend
The beautifel room of Thomas Andrews. This shows how strong the Titanic was, because the Lusitania was collapsed in pieces when it crashed on the sea floor. Titanic's bow and stern were nearly collapsed, but are still there.
At 4:59, on the right, you can see the outlining on the wall of where the ornamental clock used to be afixed to at the top of the grand staircase. The two center indentations are where it used to be.
the bones would not have withstood the pressure down there. It's 500lbs per square inch. They have found boots and clothing in the debris field...clothing they believe were on the drowned victims. The corpses have long since disappeared. The eeriest is two shoes together
On 7:47 & 7:48 you can see the skull with the 2 white spots where the eyes went facing straight up and u can see little white crabs around it so its got to be the remaining bones.
It was Captain Smith who agreed that women and children go first, but Lightoller was known to be more strict at enforcing the order to the point of being women and children only.
He was also known to be bad tempered, which is reflected by his portrayal in the movie.
Also, what I have learned that officer Lighthauler did a poor job of handling the loading of the lifeboats. He discriminated against men, and when he was asked about why is he filling the boats up full, he lied about the boats possibly buckling.
titanic did sail south, she sailed 10 miles to the south of the southest route to new york, its jsut that she wasn't south enough to escape the ice bergs as captain smith had hoped.
I am going to Branson and I hope to ride the elevator. I have seen the grand staircase many, many times. The Titanic had at least two things on board compaired to older ships. Elevators and a swimming pool. It was a six-foot pool. (6 foot deep) The pool was an indoor pool. Ships today often have outdoor pools.
According to this part of the movie, it goes to show that back then, the builders didn't think about how many people could die if there weren't enought lifeboats. The movie that was made in 1997 shows a lot of dos and don'ts of ship operation. After the disaster, there were new laws put into place to keep great tradgic events like this from happening again.
wow, titaic is quite amazing even after so much years...i some how believe that despite the multiple years if research, there still isnt enough discovered to put people's mind at ease.
I dont know why you are getting negatives for your comment I understand exactly what you are saying. I wondered myself why the other boat didnt try harder to go and find out what was going on and see if something was amiss or at least telegraph someplace to see if there were any S.O.S. out in the area. Just wanted to tell you I thought your comment was good.
That's not true. It's a common misconception that people think they used the wrong color rockets. But in 1912 the widely known color for distress rockets was white. They would NOT have been mistaken for party rockets.
the reason there is a lot of computer regenerations because i mean the titanic is a old ship rotten but the computer regenerations are showing and detailing of what room and stuff they are talking about i mean they cant just go to room to room its an 800 feet ship -.-
got up to get a drink and i was listening to the number 2 of this and she said..... : there was a guy she met every 3 months in this hospital she draw his blood. and he takes pictures of the titanic remaining stuff in it and he takes it with his crew and he puts it on tv and stuff his name was rob hes in his 50's p.s 5 STARS
There has to be some china and or other materials thats still pretty intact? could be worth quite a fortune to have some plates from the titanic

I have to cry when I see 6:50...

Only if the skull is attached itself to the ceiling.

It was Captain Smith who agreed that women and children go first, but Lightoller was known to be more strict at enforcing the order to the point of being women and children only.
He was also known to be bad tempered, which is reflected by his portrayal in the movie.
FortitudeOfHeaven 2 years ago 4
Where is that at 7:16?
Limbo89 2 years ago
Also, what I have learned that officer Lighthauler did a poor job of handling the loading of the lifeboats. He discriminated against men, and when he was asked about why is he filling the boats up full, he lied about the boats possibly buckling.

If you also want to see what the Titanic
used to look like, go and see the first
Queen Mary in Long Beach,Ca.. Just
one question. Why couldn't the Titanic
set sail further south? In the month of
April, that area of the ocean does have
icebergs. To me it sounds fishy.

titanic did sail south, she sailed 10 miles to the south of the southest route to new york, its jsut that she wasn't south enough to escape the ice bergs as captain smith had hoped.

After the disaster, there were new laws put into place to keep great tradgic events like this from happening again.

this is kinda scary to me for some reason. watching the dead body of the titanic just lying there makes me feel sad :'(

They would NOT have been mistaken for party rockets.

the reason there is a lot of computer regenerations because i mean the titanic is a old ship rotten but the computer regenerations are showing and detailing of what room and stuff they are talking about i mean they cant just go to room to room its an 800 feet ship -.-
Drakgamereviews 3 years ago 5
it was an 882 foot long ship, now its split in 2 peices, one of which (the stern part) is in a really bad state that ROVs cant properly manage inside
darkboy976 2 years ago
got up to get a drink and i was listening to the number 2 of this and she said..... : there was a guy she met every 3 months in this hospital she draw his blood. and he takes pictures of the titanic remaining stuff in it and he takes it with his crew and he puts it on tv and stuff his name was rob hes in his 50's p.s 5 STARS

Incredible reconstruction. I was never all that concerned about actually finishing the game, because I just liked looking around the ship.
