Hey music fans! if you like Bob Dylan check out my new album review channel Lava Lamp Review. On my channel I do album reviews of bands and album that people have forgotten about or just don't know about these days. Music today just isnt cutting it for me, so I'm here to talk about the great music from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. So check out Lava Lamp Review! Your vintage music fix
I've been trying to find this out for awhile, but what kind of guitar is he playing there? It's obviously pretty rare... but what model and stuff... or is it a custom?
look how tuned in he is to the sound and spirit of the song. He's putting it out there, knowing what he is about. It's like he is rising above all the dross and garbage passed off as popular music but he does it with humility and honesty. He knows he has nothing to prove cos he is the master singer/songwriter/performer. "propaganda, all is phoney" as he once wrote.
This is May 23, 1976, at Hughes Stadium in Ft. Collins, CO. Towards the end of the Rolling Thunder Review. An hours worth of the concert was broadcast on NBC that September. Parts were also released as the Hard Rain album that same month. I'm lucky enough to have a bootleg dvd copy of the tv broadcast. This is my favorite version of SFTS.
I was in another lifetime one of toil and blood When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud I came in from the wilderness a creature void of form "Come in" she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm". And if I pass this way again you can rest assured I'll always do my best for her on that I give my word In a world of steel-eyed death and men who are fighting to be warm "Come in" she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm".
Dylan goes on to write his most haunting lyric in this song. "If I could turn back the clock to the day God and her were born, Come in she said I'll give ya, Shelter from the Storm." Even though Dylan was part of a generation tuned into comprehensive deception, he like most fell victim. Number one rule of War is know thy enemy. The Master of Deception does not deal in half assed lies, he deals in grand illusions, Evil Illusions.
Dylan is one of the most honest and brilliant musicians, singers, songwriters, poets, author, philosopher, parent and inspiration to every step on stage. He is a very wealthy man, yet was forced to return to the limelight and do Victoria Secret Commercials. Haunted by the sins of the past and the "deal" he had made. Bob Dylan, became Christian and knew one of the happiest periods of His life. Bob Dylan, is someone I have always admired for his music and as an honorable man.
A young tech asked me the other day how my generation could get into Bob Dylan. I didn't really have an answer to that but I did remind him that most of us were stoned back then. This is one cool song
Dylan's most haunting lyric, "I wish I could turn back the clock to the day when God and her were born" come in she said I'll give ya, Shelter from the Storm". Even with eyes wide open became a victim of the Master of Deception. Neither God not Satan exist, the greatest illusion ever imposed on humanity.
An Atheist/Satanist abandons his commitment to the truth (only sane choice) which inherently expands to include all possibilities. Arbitrary dismissal of a possibility breeches that commitment as a fatal logic error, proving himself fundamentally a liar & fraud. When Atheist/Satanists dismiss God as a possibility, they breech commitment to the truth, resulting in their mindfucked insanity to argue justifying a lie, is rational behavior.

The gear set up on stage with clothes hanging over cameras and amplifiers in front of each other - stacks of old style amps everywhere - it all makes it look so ramshackle but also so much FUN.

@farloo100 JESUS CHRIST "The One And ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Perfect Human Being To Walk The Earth, The Absolute Greatest Phenomenon To Ever Cross The Horizon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Dylan Knew It And You Obviously Don't. And If You Don't Believe It, It'll Be A Wonder If You'll Still Know How To Breathe.
i remember watching this on TV at the time, was about 15. bought the album and still play the CD in my car. "Suddenly i turned around and she was standing there . . ." for many years this was the only version heard so i always enjoy hearing older ones or newer for that matter. one of just so many of his great songs
I'm 17, so I was born in the '90's. However, I would much rather have been 17 during this era
