another tales game and i just found out (SHAME ON ME). And even no US release yet? What are they thinking over there? The series are hugely popular all over the world. Problably going to do the same as with Vesperia as well, bringing it out in Europe a half a year, a year later than US! Everyone should be able to play this at around the same release date imo!
There is only one way we can get this game, graces f has to do well. There is now a support group to try to hype this game in ways similar to operation rainfall. Go on fb and like "tales of graces f support (operation lhant)". We can let not only namco know, but we can let others know that graces f needs support! Please thumbs up and repost if you want the tales series to keep going.
@potatopac yeah, well I can read hiragana and katakana except kanji and I understand it when the characters are talking, I usually use my ipod touch japanese keyboard when I don't understand a word. I got it in japanese because there is no english version of it.

Sold 525,000 copies the first week in japan. Why? Advertising. Not every1 is a tales-nut like me n will dig to find this game. They need 2 bring this game over n advertise it like they do in japan. I see mediocre games get so many TV and online ads n do crazy sales, but i've yet to see a tales of graces f / tales of abyss3D commercial even though theyre comin within the next 6 months. damn, looks like im going to have to buy a ps3 someday so i can play all the potential tales games coming out. I kinda wish all the major game companies collaborated to make one console, im a poor man with an expensive hobby (i also wish for region free consoles).

@Pat247x Don't waste your time xbox 360 discs are weak in the center and the cases don't help I'm telling you while I was playing my tales of vesperia it got a small crack in the center so I went to gamestop to get it fixed

@Recon0003 because this is a pretty big game and xbox 360s are virtually irrelevant in japan, where they make the most money. They gave us vesperia for 360. They learned their lesson, ps3 will help them do better. They really just need to build hype through trailers, demos, apperances at conventions, etc.

The only reason there are so many tales games that are not translated is because tales games in the USA don't sell that many units. It makes sense when you think about. I mean would you rather make a couple of bucks off the US or would you make a ton of money without added effort into translating?

@EliteCandyX Tales of the Abyss is being brough to the Nintendo 3DS but it's sad since I heard they will not put it out for regular DS and having Glasses, I can't play the 3DS and have to go and turn off the graphics, and so I won't be purchasing the game and or the 3DS, but thankfully a friend will lend me it once it comes out :)
Radiant Mythology Series is still going, but it's only Japanese still from what I know :/

I expect this to be an awesome one. All fans of Tales of series will love it. I can't wait but play a Tales of on PS3! Imagine the possibillities... It gives me gosebumps. @ACD0909 Um, ToG is coming out in America this Spring. Since Symphonia, most Tales titles have made it over into America, so this one probably will too. >_>
Well, at least they're releasing it on the PS3 version from the get-go, meaning the cycle of "give Microsoft/Nintendo the beta version so we can release the updated version with Sony" probably won't happen.

For some reason, I see the Tales series as a conpanion to Final Fantasy, even though they compete against each other. Example: compare Abyss with FFVII. A lot of parallels are apparent in both games that are too hard to ignore.
Now this one...is more of a companion of FFXIII, not Versus...yet. And, if there was ever a chance for a US release, please let this Tales game have full-voiced skits!!
@portablegamer You should get the original Valkyria Chronicles while you wait. I borrowed my friend's PSP to play the sequel and it was AMAZING! Been wanting to play the original ever since but alas, probably will not be able to in the near future.

Truly, If There Is Evil In This World, It Lies Within The Heart Of Mankind. That was likely used in Tales of Phantasia, and comes back in Xillia yay FTW! XD In the Tales of Games, there's always human to blame XD
It's mostly a support issue, I would think. It's a lot of work to translate the game and then find a good voice cast alone. And they're not getting as much support as they would like to. People need to stop this silly ban. The less money they receive, the less chances we have of seeing more localizations, and not just Tales.
Also on a lighter note, I agree with dilandauomi. Bring this one to the states!
I'm so sick and tired of this series being so inconsistent with coming overseas to NA and EU. I'm 99% sure Xillia will make it since it's Sony and not freaking Nintendo. WTF is wrong with nintendo anyways, not bringing very many good RPGs outside Japan.
On a lighter note, this game looks outstanding and I want it right meow.
There has been no series that was skipped so far if you don't count those series for the handheld consoles. Graces F was eventually localized too. Perhaps Xillia will too ... all we can do is hope. I get it from Namco's viewpoint that they are not popular enough but I don't get the voicecast thing .. If you can't afford to get a voice cast, then release it with original audio. Most JRPG fans would appreciate that anyway :/ ( dubs suck. )
@Distrance Tales of Destiny II (the real one, not Eternia which America named Destiny 2), Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Hearts, Tales of Graces. All have not seen American shores on any console to my knowledge... Tales of Graces f was just recently announced but we still don't get it for the Wii, which desperately needs more titles.
But I agree with you 100%, dubbing is just a waste of money that sounds crappy and most people don't appreciate anyways.

@darkveroth Anybody who's crazy enough to pay asking price out of pocket for Rossetta Stone software should get their head checked for loose screws and bolts.
It'd be way, waaayyy cheaper to buy Tales of Graces F AND a PS3 (GameStop certified refurbished of course.)
I know I'm buying ToGF when it comes out. I found the previous games to be awesome and these don't look like they'll disappoint either.
What will the rest of you do?

this will most likely never be localized because there all ready releasing tales of the abyss for 3ds and tales of graces(More then we got in 4 yrs)

I expect this to be an awesome one. All fans of Tales of series will love it. I can't wait but play a Tales of on PS3! Imagine the possibillities... It gives me gosebumps. Just take a sec to remember all of the tales games you've played. I grew up with games like that. Appart from fun and entertainment they gave me knowledge and another perspective of the world. Just can't wait...

Buy Graces f when it comes out next year, and our chances of localization are that much higher. Also, if you have a 3DS, get the Abyss remake.
Honestly, this looks like Bamco's biggest Tales of effort since Vesperia IMO, so I doubt it won't be localized.

For some reason, I see the Tales series as a conpanion to Final Fantasy, even though they compete against each other. Example: compare Abyss with FFVII. A lot of parallels are apparent in both games that are too hard to ignore.
Now this one...is more of a companion of FFXIII, not Versus...yet. And, if there was ever a chance for a US release, please let this Tales game have full-voiced skits!!

It's mostly a support issue, I would think. It's a lot of work to translate the game and then find a good voice cast alone. And they're not getting as much support as they would like to. People need to stop this silly ban. The less money they receive, the less chances we have of seeing more localizations, and not just Tales.
Also on a lighter note, I agree with dilandauomi. Bring this one to the states!

I'm so sick and tired of this series being so inconsistent with coming overseas to NA and EU. I'm 99% sure Xillia will make it since it's Sony and not freaking Nintendo. WTF is wrong with nintendo anyways, not bringing very many good RPGs outside Japan.
On a lighter note, this game looks outstanding and I want it right meow.

There has been no series that was skipped so far if you don't count those series for the handheld consoles. Graces F was eventually localized too. Perhaps Xillia will too ... all we can do is hope. I get it from Namco's viewpoint that they are not popular enough but I don't get the voicecast thing .. If you can't afford to get a voice cast, then release it with original audio. Most JRPG fans would appreciate that anyway :/ ( dubs suck. )

@Distrance Tales of Destiny II (the real one, not Eternia which America named Destiny 2), Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Hearts, Tales of Graces. All have not seen American shores on any console to my knowledge... Tales of Graces f was just recently announced but we still don't get it for the Wii, which desperately needs more titles.
But I agree with you 100%, dubbing is just a waste of money that sounds crappy and most people don't appreciate anyways.
