I don't agree with our opinion. I'm also a tamil from Batticaloa and east tamil people won't tamil eelam. The reason is, we are behind Minister Karuna and chief Pillayan. Sorry, but it's my opinion. Batticaloa, Amparai and Trincomalee is in Sri Lanka not in Tamil Eelam

Whats the future for srilanka? Ideas please because if its left as it is now, then there will be another uprising in 20-30 years time and we will be back to square 1!!!
If a political solution is found then sri lanka can become a first world country!
Federal system? or a unitary state with a president to represent ealam tamils?
or people of ealam joining as another state with India, which is what Nehru originally proposed in 1950s, and what our grandfathers stupidly rejected

Britain and France have released a joint statement criticising the alleged use of human shields by Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka.
The two foreign ministers said the rebels had clearly been "forcefully preventing civilians from leaving" during a recent 48-hour ceasefire.
They said the truce had not been long enough to allow civilians to safely leave the conflict zone. ---BBC--16/04/09
Earlier, the UN's head of humanitarian affairs also condemned the situation
