I do not know how much money the brown industry (Pfizer & Lilly and the others) gives You for comment, but let me tell You this: their new slogan is not really creative -- it is the old:
Gun control is not the answer. As I have repeatedly cited, D.C. has the most strict gun control laws in the nation .... as well as the highest number of shooting related deaths. It's the same across the board.
The answer is, where to place blame. Don't blame an inanimate object. Blame the murderer. Don't sympathize with the murderer, sympathize with the victim.
Strong laws regarding punishments are needed. Mandator Sentencing has been proven to reduce crime, while gun control does not.
Of course you have a right to defend yourself & others. I do not propose changing that. There is a glaring need for action. We can work together on it using common sense or ignore it and the repeal of the 2nd will become something akin to the emancipation proclamation.
Right BLAME, we need to address poverty, racial tension, illegals, deadbeat dads and personal responsibilty head on; NOT pieces of metal. They are not going away.
I am not saying get rid of guns. I'm saying we've got a problem we are not effectively addressing. I grew up in Montana, I served in the Army, and I own guns. I talk shit here trolling but I honeslty do not want gun rights suspended. I just want to reduce these deaths. I'm all for trying other means too. We must do somthing.
I say we impose a 10,000% Federal tax on any guns, ammo or reloading gear. Keep it all intrastate so the shit hole states can all kill each other and the Blue states can enjoy liberty. If you wish to die in a hailstorm of hot lead you can stay in Texas or Missippi, but if you wish to live you move to a proper blue state of your choice.
This coming from the guy who MAKES UP figures and refuses to cite his sources (mainly because he made them up).
You see, if you actually had a legitimate source or a legitimate argument, not only would you not hesitate to cite a source when asked, you would revel in it because it would prove US wrong.
You've yet to do that, despite being asked at least a dozen times. The fact remains, that numerical value you quote is 100% fictitious.
It's funny that I a combat veteran of the US Army (Desert Storm) am posting here at this particular video trying to enlighten two low arousal troglodytes who never faced combat, or taken enemy fire of any kind, or even bothered to serve. Funny how things work sometimes. Hum.
I don't listen to YOUR "facts" because I already know your arguments, I've heard them a trillion times before, and they are not routed in reality. In may ways it's like arguning with a Christian.
Soooo. Studies that actually show factual information (for examples, shooting deaths per state compared with gun laws) aren't factual enough for you? Is that what you are saying?
The fictitious numbers are more "in reality" than the study supported numbers we provide? Even though we provide citations for MULTIPLE sources, including governmental bodies and institutions, while you have provided not a single citation?
I am sad you choose to to endanger my Second Amendment rights by your foolish attitude.
The NIJ commissioned a study in the early 1990s to analyze the effectiveness of gun control, as did their countparts in the UK, Australia, Canada, Finland, and Norway. All the reports demonstrated a direct correlation between regulation and a drop in death rates. I know this is not to your liking and like most right wingers you are good at denial, apathy and lying. Are you a Christian by chance?
Actually, I'm a not christian, not that it matters.
Wow, I'm really beginning to wonder about your sanity. I looked up your "citation" (NIJ study in the 1990s, purposely vague I'll assume).
I'm reading a study that INCLUDES gun control and the primary statement of the study is that gun control has no measurable effect on crime but MANDATORY SENTENCING does have a measurable impact.
Knowing your next 10 moves better than you know them you will now ask for my source, I will give it to you, you will find the report see I am correct and post here that you couldn't find the report and therefore I must be wrong.
Yeah, BLAME, let's put a 10,000% tax on guns. There are already 200+ MILLION out there. I bet that tax will stop criminals from getting them. Yeah, just like laws stop them from getting drugs.
In my mind the tax would be more for paying for the costs of the needless deaths. You are "free" to buy the guns and ammo. If you can't afford it - just go work harder. Why should responsible Americans foot the bill for the gun epidemic we don't cause?
Funny how I find evidence on the source YOU CITED that backs up OUR argument and not yours, isn't it?
Also notice how I actually cited the source. Saying "huh huh, i did read that at da web sites" isn't exactly a citation, now is it?
Lets see. Who have we cited so far? FBI, Department of Justice, and now the National Institute of Justice. All with supporting evidence against gun control.
Who have you cited (that turned out to be valid)? No a single legitimate source.
Gun Control does not decrease gun related crime. As is evident by looking at Washington D.C., which has the strictest laws, yet the highest shooting rates.
However, increasing jail times, implementing mandatory sentencing, etc, shows a significant impact on gun crime.
It should be self-evident that laws the restrict an object are not as effective (if effective at all) as actually PUNISHING the individual responsible.
Reduced sentences for violent crimes has historically be responsible for an increase in violent crimes (who know?). Liberals policy has time and time again reduced punishments for criminals while trying to blame the crime on an external source (in this case, guns).
An example of utterly stupid liberal policy.
In NYC (my home town). Brandishing a gun (displaying it in public) carries are harsher sentence than actually shooting someone with said gun.
Sorry to tell you BLAME, but the problem is ILLEGAL guns. Regulations do not control ILLEGAL guns. Taxes do not control ILLEGAL guns.
The only things that control ILLEGAL anything is laws and punishments. I never really understood why liberals always seek to make things harder for law abiding citizens but make things easier for criminals. Can you answer that question?
Hey I am happy to hear you at least admit there is a problem. I agree with the "illegal" part because stolen guns are indeed "illegal" and a massive part of the problem.
Cook, Philip J., Gun Violence: The Real Cost, Page 29. Oxford University Press, 2002
I've been admitting there is a problem the entire time, but instead of blaming guns, I blame the criminal. Unfortunately, I don't agree with your assessment that greater gun control is the answer. Harsher punishments for the crimes has been the only proven method to reduce crime, period.
You advocate gun storage laws. But if you look at Washington D.C., which current has gun storage laws ... W.D.C. has the highest gun related crime rate in the nation.
I think you mean that YOU FINALLY STARTED LISTENING. Sorry to tell you Blame, I'm not SUDDENLY agreeing with you. I've been saying the same thing the entire time. As has Davy, as has LongPurple.
I think it's that you've finally pulled your head out of your ass long enough to actually understand what we've been saying.
Gun Control Law accomplish little. Making stricter laws accomplishes a lot. In the name of "humanity", liberals reduce sentencing, which leads to increased crime.
"evasive nature"? Staying on topic is not being evasive. I choose not to join in your fanciful little rants onto things that do not relate. You support the killing of 30,000 Americans every year. I understand why you want to run away from this.
No BLAME, I do not support 17,000 suicides nor 12,000 non-suicide gun-deaths. I support freedom and one's BORN WITH right to self-defend. I am for anything that reduces crime, but not at the expense of the honest citizen's rights.
Guns are not the problem. THE PEOPLE ARE. Poverty, racial tensions, too many illegals, deadbeat dads, lack of personal responsibility, etc. are to blame.
If gun control was the answer we would have ridden the world of gun crime a long time ago.
-----------------Still attempting the 'octopus defense' ?---------
Your ranting is all very nice but your claim of 30,000 (or is it 33,000? Oh Hell---let's make it 330,000!) shooting deaths does nothing to address the way you interpret 'WELL REGULATED' Militia.
....The flowers that bloom in the Spring,
....Tra la,
....Have nothing to do with the case.
Defend your 'interpretation' of the 2 A., or abandon it.
$661,248,000 per year. Every year spent not on feeding or teaching American children, but rather to kill them and their loved ones. When will you cowards wake up? This is why we must remove conservatives from the political arena. They can't serve America because they're only able to serve themselves. The right wing - Al Qaeda's best friend.
30,000 dead Americans of which only 150 are justifiable shootings. So you think killing 29,850 Americans to ensure 150 criminals are killed is acceptable? Real smart. Youre fucking fear addled shit for brains.
Nice the way BLAME can't even get his own facts straight isn't it?
A different figure on nearly every post, yet he claims they are true.
The Left-Wing: People who care for Criminals more than victims. People who sympathize with Criminals yet forget the Victims.
It is the left-wing that has virtually decriminalized the crime of murder. It is the left-wing who feels pity for child rapists and murderers and insist they get "reasonable" sentences.
The Left-Wing, who seeks to place blame on inanimate objects while reducing jail times for child rapists and murderers.
No, it isn't the fault of the willful and purposeful career criminal who has raped children, killed cops, and otherwise been a menace to society. It is the inanimate object, which is only a tool, that is to blame.
Let me remind you, Al Qaeda didn't use guns, they used box cutters and airplanes.
You fear some unseen boogey man just around every corner so much it turns your gun into some kind of magical talisman. I fear 30,000 human being dying needlessly each year costing us $739,200,000.00 each and every year. Cant you see how foolish you are?
If box cutters were a vital component in the easily avoided killing of 30,000 Americans a year costing all of us $739,200,000.00 EVERY YEAR all decent Americans would want it addressed. Question have you ever though what kind of human being you are by allowing fear to shut down your own decency? What your loved must think of you? Just curious.
Not much has changed. Why would my posts? I appreciate the fact that you have a tough road ahead of you. Polishing a turd as big as the one you're working with is not easy. I know this because none of you doing a good job of it.
Funny. I just googled the figures that Blame provides ("$739,200,000.00") and only came up with TWO hits. One is a youtube video of Penn and Teller, the other is THIS video.
However, the 30,000 per year die from shootings is true. Although he neglects to cite that 17,000 (more than half) are from suicides. Since we are talking about gun control as it applies to crime, that leaves only 12,228 per year.
So what have we learned? Only that BLAME is a Penn and Teller fan.
None of you morons have been able to justify the 30,000 shooting deaths per year. It's just a matter of time. Gun control laws were passed previously, and more will come. Did you hear about the 4 cops slaughtered in Washington? Ft. Hood, Virgina Tech, Columbine, etc..I say we tax the holy fuck out of guns and ammo and if you cry about it we can just say "work harder".
I have been wondering if you were just another garden variety troll, or as 'icecoldbeer' has speculated, a pseudo-liberal fictional character you gave yourself.
After seeing your increasingly irrational comments, I think 'icecoldbeer' has you pegged right. You're playing the role of a Liberal idiot with his head firmly up his ass, a caricature of a real Liberal. Your goal could only be to ridicule and belittle the Liberal view of the 2 A. by a grotesque 'Liberal' interpretation.
Blame--- I know Liberals. . . I have argued with Liberals. . . Blame --- you're no Liberal.
You offer no justification of your baseless statements when they are challenged. You resort to the 'octopus defense' --- squirt a lot of ink, throw in a few tangential, or completely irrelevant, comments (often spiced by personal insults) as a distraction, repeat the challenged statements as if they were facts, and hope to escape in the confusion you try to create.
In short, nobody could be as impervious to fact and logic as your 'persona' ----- (To be THAT stupid, ya gotta be SMART). The trouble is you overdid it. You became a ludicrous parody of the 'typical Liberal' you intended to portray, and it became obvious that you could not be both serious and sane.
I have encountered numerous individuals, on blogs/youtube/etc that simply will not listen to cited facts or concrete logic. Some of them have even given into facts, then conveniently forget the same facts a few posts later.
I don't think it is a persona, but a willful and intelligent attempt to progress an agenda, either person or shared, through the use of "less than honorable" means.
They get so wrapped up in an argument or ideal that they will go to any extremes to prove themselves right (if only in their own mind).
I don't know if it is delusion or a deep-seeded need to prove themselves (if just to themselves).
Either way, either way, it is individuals such as him that are at the core of disseminating misinformation through propaganda, half-truths and bold face lies.
I, personally, will counter them, whom ever they are, any time I encounter them.
HA! I was so glad to hear all you fat sacks of shit NRA morons were there to help stop the 4 cops from being killed. It totally backs up your opinion that streets flooded with guns are safer than those without. Now - how will you spin this latest blow to the NRA into backing your point?
P.S. Idiot. No one said "streets flooded with guns are safer". In FACT. Gun Control Laws INCREASE the number of illegal guns on the street. Look at the facts. Washington DC, smallest population, MOST strict gun control laws in the nation, HIGHEST number of shooting deaths and GREATEST number of illegal guns siezed per year.
You're the one who thinks flooding the streets with cheap Chinese assault rifles makes us "safer". You are the idiot. Just ask those 4 cops....oh wait.
Okay man. You are too stupid to even read what I type, that is obvious from your meaningless responces.
Let me ask you this. IF GUN CONTROL LAWS ARE PROVEN TO REDUCE SHOOTING DEATHS THEN WHY DO THE STATES WITH THE STRICTEST GUN CONTROL LAWS HAVE THE HIGHEST SHOOTING DEATHS?
Are you going to answer? Or you are going to continue to be a spineless coward, wanna be military, homeschooled, fat lazy liberal?
Did you know 30,000 Americans die in shootings every year. Each shooting death costs the American tax payer $22,400. Thats $739,200,000.00 Irresponsible gun nuts cost us sane Americans. Tax guns and all shooting supplies to cover this.
Sorry but it does. The purpose of the Second is to ensure security of America. 30,000 dead at the cost of $739,200,000.00 every year sure doesn't ensure security. YOU LOSE.
Again, you fail to quote where you got that information. Even though you have been asked a dozen times at least. Sorry, if you ardently refuse to give the source of your information, we can only assume you made it up.
So, since we quote and cite facts and you are obviously making things up .... YOU LOSE
Instead of your ridiculous attempt to make 'WELL REGULATED' apply to ' the right of the PEOPLE' instead of to the 'MILITIA', I really wish you had some cogent reply, like ** The 2 A. means that the states have the right to maintain a militia, not that 'just anybody' can have a gun.**
blah, blah, blah, blah, 30,000 Americans shot and killed like dogs in the street. That's 10 September 11th type attacks every year. 82 Americans a day shot and killed needlessly at a cost of $1,836,800 PER DAY wasted on a useless blood letting. Yet you cry about paying taxes for hot lunch program for children. Why do you hunger for such hell on America?
Okay Blame. If it is PROVEN that Gun Control Laws reduce shooting deaths, as you claim, then please explain why States with the most strict gun control laws have the HIGHEST shooting deaths?
BLAME, you must really trust your government. You seem to forget that government are men just like criminals. They have insecurities, problems and flaws. You give them too much power they will abuse it. History has shown this for CENTURIES.
And you are stupid if you think they give a damn about protecting you. Did you know that the Supreme Court has ruled several times that LAW ENFORCEMENT DO *NOT* HAVE A LEGAL OBLIGATION TO PROTECT YOU as an individual?
Fear is for slaves. Of the 30,000 shooting deaths in America each year less than 150 are justifiable. You've swallowed this fantasy of John Wayne wild west. The right wing rich want you to view your government as the problem so they can continue to steal from you. Do I trust my Government? Much more than I trust Corporations churches. Because I am a combat veteran I know all too well your guns do nothing to protect you from a modern military. Fear has soiled you mind.
You also conclusively proved WMDs were in Iraq. Your judgement is obviously not sound. Your opinion is as worthless because you make decisions with no information. That's why you are a far right wing racist.
Wow, Blame, you are the dumbest person I have EVER encountered.
Ha? You win? Idiot. This goes to show that GUN CONTROL LAWS control NOTHING.
Stricter PUNISHMENTS are needed, which you bleeding heart liberals took away. It used to be that if anyone used a gun in a crime it was an automatic capital crime.
Because of you liberals, a shooting conviction carries an average sentense of 4 to 6 years! Thanks to YOU liberals.
So again, thank you for proving what an extreme idiot you are
Accuse your challengers of your own failures, instead of attempting to defend the indefensible opinion you tried to put over.
I'll be glad to stop my 'word games' if you stop 'putting language and logic on the rack' --- stretching, twisting and perverting the 2 A. in a vain attempt to make it mean what you want it to mean.
In case you didn't notice, I AGREED with you (on 'Myth: Gun control Reduces Crime') that ALL Rights --- even the 'unalienable' Rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness--- are subject to limit, or even forfeit.
Where I DISAGREE, is your attempt to prove this point in regard to RKBA, by the most unjustifiable, outlandish, completely ludicrous 'interpretation' of 2 A. I ever heard.
Defend your interpretation of 2 A.--- or abandon it.
You said: . . . the 2nd Amendment? If you fail to read "Well Regulated" why should I pay for your mess?
You STILL have not taken Step 1.
Step1 --- explain how the phrase 'WELL REGULATED' detaches itself from the word 'MILITIA', in the prefatory clause of 2 A., then travels through SPACE, into the operative clause, where you claim it modifies the word 'RIGHT', in 'the right of the PEOPLE (and not the MILITIA) to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.'
o Without passport, visa or green card --- violating all rules of language and logic --- it illegally crosses the border to relocate in the operative clause of 2 A., where---
o It now has a NEW 'employer' to modify --- the 'RIGHT of the PEOPLE . . .', and ---
o It has a NEW meaning --- 'rules and restrictions'.
Are there any other phrases like it in the BOR, the Constitution, or anywhere in the English Language?
Again - these word games are all very nice, but 33,000 shooting deaths per year costing $22,400 each is too much. With that much death and destruction the intent of the Amendment the security of a free state is at risk. You choose to ignore this, and turn your back on 30,000 Americans. What of their rights? Toy time is over. It's time we require registration, training and membership in a militia as the Founding Fathers wanted. It's time.
Prefatory/operative, you can tell BLAME didn't read up on the DC vs. Heller ruling. But I'm not surprised, he has hasn't looked into many other facts either.
With 30,000 deaths a year at the cost of $22,400 each death we need to stop your childish word games. By failing to pull your weight and follow the 2nd properly you erode our security. Grow some brains & balls and be a man, not a cowering baby with your little metal penis and piss in your diaper.
You are free to continue to ask me anything you like. It changes nothing. 82 Americans die EVERY DAY by gun fire. Each shooting costs $22,400. Why should responsible Americans pay for your needless costs? Tax the guns, tax the ammo, etc...I'm grown thanks. I'm a combat veteran of the US Army. I don't live your coward's mindset. 30,000 deaths by gun fire every year and only 150 are justifiable. It's you who is the child.
These nazi morons in the far right wing help to murder 30,000 Americans because they're too cowardly to be real. Registration is a must to ensure safety.
Number of shooting deaths per day in the E.U. which has 500 million members: 3
In the US which has a population of 200 million the number is: 82 Each shooting costs $22,400. Why should all Americans be forced to carry this UNECESSARY cost? Tax only the gun owners.
No, a "tax the gun owners" routine is simply a backdoor registry scam. That gives the governement too much power; not to mention you can't tax The Bill of Rights.
Even better: tax those who CAN legally own a gun but do NOT have a gun. Tax those that are not willing to stand up for their state and country as they are a drag to society. Tax those who do not cherish their freedom.
There's nothing illegal about a registry. Sorry. Why should we be forced to pay for a cost you choose to incur by ignoring the 2nd Amendment? If you fail to read "Well Regulated" why should I pay for your mess? Tax guns, ammo, reloading stuff, all of it so high that your cost is paid for by YOU. Not us.
Wow, did you just recently learn how to read? I didn't say a registry was illegal, quite the opposite.
Anyway, what about this very simple statement don't you understand? Illegal Guns are .... illegal. Illegal means ... they aren't controlled by the Constition or Gun Control Laws.
Are you really that stupid? You don't know the difference between legal and illegal?
LEGAL-Control by laws. ILLEGAL-outside of the laws.
Not to mention, all the stuff you want taxed, is already taxed.
1.) Costs? Compare gun violence costs to DWI costs and get back to me. Should we ban alcohol?
2.) "guns, ammo, reloading equipment" THEY ALREADY ARE TAXED MORON.
3.) A registry sways the pendulum of power way too much in the governement's favor. Sight HISTORY for examples.
We live in a country of checks and balances, hence the three braches of government. ANYTIME you give one side too much power, it leads to abuse EVERYTIME. That is human nature, always has been. (read HISTORY)
We already regulate drunk driving. If we treated it like you treat guns - no laws what so ever - the death toll and cost would soar. Please - I've earned my Bachelor's degree and am smarter than you. This is why I am correct, and you are not.
That's funny. No laws the death toll would soar? If you actually LOOK AT THE FACTS, the states with the STRICTED gun control laws have SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER shooting deaths than states WITHOUT strict gun control laws.
DC having the MOST STRICT and the HIGHEST death rate.
Bachelor's degree. I didn't think they gave out home schooled bachelor's degree. Huh. You should ask for a refund.
Nope. The facts are clear. Gun control reduces shooting deaths. That's the reality. 82 Americans a day die. You right wing nut jobs always lie in support of their position. Look at iraq for proof of this.

Mandator Sentencing has been proven to reduce crime, while gun control does not.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
BLAME, keep attacking the wrong item and you will spin your wheels forever. You will accomplish none of your goals to reduce gun deaths.
What did you think of the Switzerland video?
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago
Of course you have a right to defend yourself & others. I do not propose changing that. There is a glaring need for action. We can work together on it using common sense or ignore it and the repeal of the 2nd will become something akin to the emancipation proclamation.

If you wish to die in a hailstorm of hot lead you can stay in Texas or Missippi, but if you wish to live you move to a proper blue state of your choice.

Inability to conduct research?
This coming from the guy who MAKES UP figures and refuses to cite his sources (mainly because he made them up).
You see, if you actually had a legitimate source or a legitimate argument, not only would you not hesitate to cite a source when asked, you would revel in it because it would prove US wrong.
You've yet to do that, despite being asked at least a dozen times. The fact remains, that numerical value you quote is 100% fictitious.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
It's funny that I a combat veteran of the US Army (Desert Storm) am posting here at this particular video trying to enlighten two low arousal troglodytes who never faced combat, or taken enemy fire of any kind, or even bothered to serve. Funny how things work sometimes. Hum.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Blame,
I have a serious question for you.
Why is it that you don't listen to facts? Why is it that you make up things (like those numbers, or being in the military)?
Do we have some deep seeded issues? Were we bullied as a kid so now you have to come on youtube to make yourself feel better by being an ass?
Why is it that you are so out of touch with reality?
Combat Vet? Desert Storm? I doubt you have ever shot a gun, much less been in the military.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
I don't listen to YOUR "facts" because I already know your arguments, I've heard them a trillion times before, and they are not routed in reality. In may ways it's like arguning with a Christian.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
And we're the ones "not routed in reality"?
You are one sad individual.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
I am sad you choose to to endanger my Second Amendment rights by your foolish attitude.
The NIJ commissioned a study in the early 1990s to analyze the effectiveness of gun control, as did their countparts in the UK, Australia, Canada, Finland, and Norway. All the reports demonstrated a direct correlation between regulation and a drop in death rates. I know this is not to your liking and like most right wingers you are good at denial, apathy and lying. Are you a Christian by chance?
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Actually, I'm a not christian, not that it matters.
Wow, I'm really beginning to wonder about your sanity. I looked up your "citation" (NIJ study in the 1990s, purposely vague I'll assume).
I'm reading a study that INCLUDES gun control and the primary statement of the study is that gun control has no measurable effect on crime but MANDATORY SENTENCING does have a measurable impact.

BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Yeah, BLAME, let's put a 10,000% tax on guns. There are already 200+ MILLION out there. I bet that tax will stop criminals from getting them. Yeah, just like laws stop them from getting drugs.
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago
In my mind the tax would be more for paying for the costs of the needless deaths. You are "free" to buy the guns and ammo. If you can't afford it - just go work harder. Why should responsible Americans foot the bill for the gun epidemic we don't cause?
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Right BLAME, and since you are SO concerned about saving lives and money, what should we do about alcohol? You seem to have all the answers.
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago

Dave,
The grown ups are talking now. Be quiet while I have the very rare chance to speak with a pro gun person who actually has a 3 digit IQ. Ok sweety?
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Funny how I find evidence on the source YOU CITED that backs up OUR argument and not yours, isn't it?
Also notice how I actually cited the source. Saying "huh huh, i did read that at da web sites" isn't exactly a citation, now is it?
Lets see. Who have we cited so far? FBI, Department of Justice, and now the National Institute of Justice. All with supporting evidence against gun control.
Who have you cited (that turned out to be valid)? No a single legitimate source.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Here are the facts.
Gun Control does not decrease gun related crime. As is evident by looking at Washington D.C., which has the strictest laws, yet the highest shooting rates.
However, increasing jail times, implementing mandatory sentencing, etc, shows a significant impact on gun crime.
It should be self-evident that laws the restrict an object are not as effective (if effective at all) as actually PUNISHING the individual responsible.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Reduced sentences for violent crimes has historically be responsible for an increase in violent crimes (who know?). Liberals policy has time and time again reduced punishments for criminals while trying to blame the crime on an external source (in this case, guns).
An example of utterly stupid liberal policy.
In NYC (my home town). Brandishing a gun (displaying it in public) carries are harsher sentence than actually shooting someone with said gun.
Brandishing: 10-15 years.
Shooting: 8 years
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Sorry to tell you BLAME, but the problem is ILLEGAL guns. Regulations do not control ILLEGAL guns. Taxes do not control ILLEGAL guns.
The only things that control ILLEGAL anything is laws and punishments. I never really understood why liberals always seek to make things harder for law abiding citizens but make things easier for criminals. Can you answer that question?
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Hey I am happy to hear you at least admit there is a problem. I agree with the "illegal" part because stolen guns are indeed "illegal" and a massive part of the problem.
Cook, Philip J., Gun Violence: The Real Cost, Page 29. Oxford University Press, 2002
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
I've been admitting there is a problem the entire time, but instead of blaming guns, I blame the criminal. Unfortunately, I don't agree with your assessment that greater gun control is the answer. Harsher punishments for the crimes has been the only proven method to reduce crime, period.
You advocate gun storage laws. But if you look at Washington D.C., which current has gun storage laws ... W.D.C. has the highest gun related crime rate in the nation.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago 2

Gun Control Law accomplish little. Making stricter laws accomplishes a lot. In the name of "humanity", liberals reduce sentencing, which leads to increased crime.

Guns are not the problem. THE PEOPLE ARE. Poverty, racial tensions, too many illegals, deadbeat dads, lack of personal responsibility, etc. are to blame.

BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Only that BLAME is a Penn and Teller fan.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
How is your own inability to conduct effective research "funny"?
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Also, remember, a good percent of those 12,228 are criminal on criminal.
Gun control will stop criminals from shooting each other about as good as it stops suicides.
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago

Only 150 are justifiable.

Blame. .
Again?
You said: . . . the 2nd Amendment? If you fail to read "Well Regulated" why should I pay for your mess?
You STILL have not taken Step 1.
Step1 --- explain how the phrase 'WELL REGULATED' detaches itself from the word 'MILITIA', in the prefatory clause of 2 A., then travels through SPACE, into the operative clause, where you claim it modifies the word 'RIGHT', in 'the right of the PEOPLE (and not the MILITIA) to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.'
LongPurple 2 years ago
(continued)
What an amazing phrase!
I think we ought to call it the 'illegal immigrant phrase' :
o It pulls up roots from its native country, the prefatory clause of 2 A., where it was employed to describe a 'well-trained' MILITA, then---
LongPurple 2 years ago
(continued-2)
o Without passport, visa or green card --- violating all rules of language and logic --- it illegally crosses the border to relocate in the operative clause of 2 A., where---
o It now has a NEW 'employer' to modify --- the 'RIGHT of the PEOPLE . . .', and ---
o It has a NEW meaning --- 'rules and restrictions'.
Are there any other phrases like it in the BOR, the Constitution, or anywhere in the English Language?

Your ranting is all very nice but does nothing to address the 30,000 shooting deaths.

@BlameRepublicans
Your ranting is all very nice but your claim of 30,000 shooting deaths does nothing to address the way you interpret 'WELL REGULATED'.
....The flowers that bloom in the Spring,
....Tra la,
....Have nothing to do with the case.
LongPurple 2 years ago
Again - these word games are all very nice, but 33,000 shooting deaths per year costing $22,400 each is too much. With that much death and destruction the intent of the Amendment the security of a free state is at risk. You choose to ignore this, and turn your back on 30,000 Americans. What of their rights? Toy time is over. It's time we require registration, training and membership in a militia as the Founding Fathers wanted. It's time.

LOL!!!
Hey Long! This guy is something else (BLAME).
Prefatory/operative, you can tell BLAME didn't read up on the DC vs. Heller ruling. But I'm not surprised, he has hasn't looked into many other facts either.
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago
HEY BLAME:
"Well Regulated"
What is the next word it that Amendment?
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago
With 30,000 deaths a year at the cost of $22,400 each death we need to stop your childish word games. By failing to pull your weight and follow the 2nd properly you erode our security. Grow some brains & balls and be a man, not a cowering baby with your little metal penis and piss in your diaper.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
You keep throwing that number around, but even though we've asked several times, you've yet to cite where the information is from.
Thus, from this point forward, I'm considering this, and everything else you say, as fiction invented by a deranged little boy who needs to grow up.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
You are free to continue to ask me anything you like. It changes nothing. 82 Americans die EVERY DAY by gun fire. Each shooting costs $22,400. Why should responsible Americans pay for your needless costs? Tax the guns, tax the ammo, etc...I'm grown thanks. I'm a combat veteran of the US Army. I don't live your coward's mindset. 30,000 deaths by gun fire every year and only 150 are justifiable. It's you who is the child.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
These nazi morons in the far right wing help to murder 30,000 Americans because they're too cowardly to be real. Registration is a must to ensure safety.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Number of shooting deaths per day in the E.U. which has 500 million members: 3
In the US which has a population of 200 million the number is: 82 Each shooting costs $22,400. Why should all Americans be forced to carry this UNECESSARY cost? Tax only the gun owners.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
No, a "tax the gun owners" routine is simply a backdoor registry scam. That gives the governement too much power; not to mention you can't tax The Bill of Rights.
Even better: tax those who CAN legally own a gun but do NOT have a gun. Tax those that are not willing to stand up for their state and country as they are a drag to society. Tax those who do not cherish their freedom.
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago
There's nothing illegal about a registry. Sorry. Why should we be forced to pay for a cost you choose to incur by ignoring the 2nd Amendment? If you fail to read "Well Regulated" why should I pay for your mess? Tax guns, ammo, reloading stuff, all of it so high that your cost is paid for by YOU. Not us.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
Wow, did you just recently learn how to read? I didn't say a registry was illegal, quite the opposite.
Anyway, what about this very simple statement don't you understand? Illegal Guns are .... illegal. Illegal means ... they aren't controlled by the Constition or Gun Control Laws.
Are you really that stupid? You don't know the difference between legal and illegal?
LEGAL-Control by laws. ILLEGAL-outside of the laws.
Not to mention, all the stuff you want taxed, is already taxed.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
DavyCrockett2 2 years ago
We already regulate drunk driving. If we treated it like you treat guns - no laws what so ever - the death toll and cost would soar. Please - I've earned my Bachelor's degree and am smarter than you. This is why I am correct, and you are not.
BlameRepublicans 2 years ago
That's funny. No laws the death toll would soar? If you actually LOOK AT THE FACTS, the states with the STRICTED gun control laws have SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER shooting deaths than states WITHOUT strict gun control laws.
DC having the MOST STRICT and the HIGHEST death rate.
Bachelor's degree. I didn't think they gave out home schooled bachelor's degree. Huh. You should ask for a refund.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Nope. The facts are clear. Gun control reduces shooting deaths. That's the reality. 82 Americans a day die. You right wing nut jobs always lie in support of their position. Look at iraq for proof of this.
