Thnx for your comment, but I think you made a mistake. it's not cantonese yueju opera. it's the opera originated from Zhejiang province and developed in Shanghai.

thanks for the reply... now i'm really confused! i guess it's not the "粵劇" opera then, the character-prefix indicating "canton", but another "yue" character?

it's 越劇 not 粵劇. Do you know about Wu state(吳國) and Yue State(越國) in ancient China? 越劇is originated from the place where it used belong to Yue State.
