  • I dated a Cantonese woman for a few years from Kowloon, she came to me in America, I fell in love with her deeply and wanted to marry her, but deeply scarred in my heart she could not marry me because her heart was already married to another, I was saddened and I knew she must of been burdened by the culture shock and my brothers adding stress to her, I knew I was going to lose her forever...Rain wherever you are today please forgive me for all the past troubles and hope you are happy today..

  • I like this Xiao-sheng.

  • I would appreciate it if someone can translate this into Eng sub. Thanks in advance.

  • 廖琪英。

  • wow very hard to understand

  • Nice. Cantonese-Yueju opera!

  • Thnx for your comment, but I think you made a mistake. it's not cantonese yueju opera. it's the opera originated from Zhejiang province and developed in Shanghai.

  • thanks for the reply... now i'm really confused! i guess it's not the "粵劇" opera then, the character-prefix indicating "canton", but another "yue" character?

  • it's 越劇 not 粵劇. Do you know about Wu state(吳國) and Yue State(越國) in ancient China? 越劇is originated from the place where it used belong to Yue State.

  • soooo pretty !!!

  • Thank you so much for sharing THE PEONY PAVILLION - I'm a total fan of this monumental opera. And thanks for the English lyrics in the info box :-)!
