i grew up on no prayer for the dying, powerslave, seventh son of a seventh son, everything pre-90's

this is such a bad album compared to their older shit

if your a maiden fan, this isnt your favorite album because it doesn't capture the essence of the band

main songs to do this, are holy smoke, tailgunner, powerslave, 2 minutes to midnight, aces high, moonchild, bring your daughter to the slaughter, etc

Overall this is Maiden's weakest album. The production and the mix is the first thing that you notice, with its thin tin feel it fails to achieve its goal. The songs are too long and repetitive and without a good lead singer to make it cool it is more difficult to listen to. Blaze is great on three songs and that is it. Listen to Bruce on Dream of Mirrors which is a VXI song and you will see the production and singer had a lot do with it. Still listenable but not up to the Maiden standard.

Dream of Mirrors was written during the Virtual XI sessions and was to be included on the album but was not quite developed enough to do so. They took the song during ed hunter and adjusted it to what it is today. The song is co-written by Blaze (Steve Harris took his name of the credit but H confirms it was Blaze) and written for his voice. My point was DOM is how Virtual XI would sound if Bruce and Adrian were there to play on it. I know what songs are on what album.
