SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS ON THIS FIRMWARE(2008) ON THE SLIM. I JUST DOWNGRADED ON MY PHAT FROM 660 TO 401, NOW UPDATED TO 500M336.

IN THE MATTER OF HOURS I MADE A PANDORA WITH A 110 BATTERY AND A 4GB MMS... IT FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK.

During the updating process, PSP turned black. THIS MEANS THAT IT IS NOW BRICKED. Only way to unbrick is to use Pandora Battery. Google it.

I know cause I just bricked my PSP (and I'm pissed).

I also did this update (thanx for guide it is very clear) but the games didn't want to start after this update, where they were working in 3.71 m-33, but not in 5.00 m33-6.

so I updated to 5.50 GEN-D3. it is working again..(phew.)..

what is the best update after 5.50 GEN-D3.?

i tried each and everything same that you told in the video, but when i was updating the firmware it got struck at struck telling "some technical error contact your operator error FFFFFFF" then i switched it off and it won't turn on just a green light flashes and then shut down.

Actually i had a psp slim 3.71 m33 and was updating then it happened , i tried everything changing the battery changing memory stick, it is also not entering recovery menu . help is very much appreciated

but the results were the same : none of my .iso/.cso games were running after updating to 5.00m33-6

1- my psp is already hacked

2- unluckily after years i found out that my memory stick is fake ( but i can still play my .iso/.cso when im downgrading to 4.01m33-2 )

Thank you so much! I was praying so hard during the update process and then a few moments later it finished without a hitch. It did say the setting information is corrupted after the restart but I just went through the initial setup and then it was fixed. Thanks you so much again. Here in the Philippines, you have to like shell out $10 just to have someone do this!

This video tutorial was so easy to follow. It's been years since I've done this ( hence why I needed this tutorial ), but it was even easier than I remembered.

well, it worked for me..great but i upgraded my slim to 5.51 and i my files corrupted.. can i do this once again?

2 things - a) before, my file kept showing as corrupt, this changed after I stopped using a different link for the 5.00 sony firmware, yet at the same time I changed the name from 500.PBP.PBP (in the name it just shows as 500.PBP), changed it to just 500.PBP (so for the name, depending on your OS i am guessing, only type the .PBP if it's already shown in EBOOT.PBP, otherwise if it just says EBOOT, then just type 500)
