  • Ask any metalhead and the early 90's sucked..i hated all that grunge crap..Nirvana,Soundgarden,pearl jam. the only decent band was alice in chains.

  • The greatest and most influential hardcore band is BAD BRAINS. Look 'em up if you haven't already-they created the entire genre.

  • Amen

  • im 14 and dude i thank my dad for showin me late 70s all 80s and 90s music. i cant listen to new school music it makes sick

  • makes sense. its like a big ole mixed salad bowl ....lota caucasions do rap, lotta non caucasion do metal or rock. Sevendust kranks, I still drop back & listen to a chuck berry clip occasionally. Hendrix is always cool to drop back & check out. its a touchy subject, but its just music & it should be enjoyed by whoever wants to enjoy it.Its why its there for all of us. To pick & choose what sounds good to us.

  • why do all black outkasts run to white people, or clear people are people, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • OMG Brotha! Where have you been all this time! I was looking for new smart people to subscribe to, and just found out about you! Man man man! When you said Soundgarden...I was like, yeah this is my dawg here! LOL! Man, Chris Cornell has got to be one of the greatest vocalist in the world of music. That dudes vocals gives me goosebumps, no homo!

But yeah, I can be very afro-centric at times because of our people's lost connection, but overall, deep inside I love all music and people. Great vid!

  • That's the thing about rock music, WE DON'T GIVE A *UCK WHO YOU ARE AS LONG AS YOU CAME TO ROCK!!!!

  • chuck berry would shed a tear than bust out to a metallica solo. god bless you sir. screw those nazi bitches and playa haters. they know nothing. i love hip hop and chuck berry/dizzy gilespi. metal has simply been waiting for the world to see its true glory. its hard for some to admit they're mistakes.

  • Metal and Rock comes from "black" music. Rap is not black music. Jazz and blues are

  • AMEN BROTHA

  • black people invented techno to EVERYBODY forgets that

  • @Kingtunice and they should be punished for it

  • Hey nastyblock, what do you think about soundgardens burden in my hand?Makes me cry all the time!

  • haha your vocabulary is perfect, too much classification of music is making it stereotyped like people... fucking sad story

  • I love grunge, metalcore, deathcore, nu-metal, punk, and then I love jazz, jazz fusion, deep house, techno, and drum&bass. I am a black American lol. Enjoy that good music.

  • Black folks are geniues...When you look at music history, especially American music history a lot of them come from African Americans...There were so many influential African Americans that contributed to Rock music,Dance music, and other genres....I feel that Black people can listen to whatever they want including rock music....The wierdest thing is even country music was influenced by blues music to an extent.....

  • @Magicprincess9000 Country is referred to as the "white man's blues", so what thet tell you.

  • Not a greenday fan,but black hole sun and cobain 4 life!

Hearing you call those songs made me know i wasnt the only black who loves metal.Thank you.

  • this is very true im black i actually like metal better than hiphop and that skateboard sounded like my next setup GREAT VIDEO!

  • I don't get why people listen to certain shit only, I don't I'll listen to everything from Classic Rap to Classic Rock, from heavy metal to jazz, from hardcore punk to mozart for fuck sake, music is great because of all it's variety.

  • I love old school rap better then new school rap

  • I love death metal music

  • Fat guy in a bling bling

  • @musicfolife1

To influence and to create are quite different verbs.

    Blues heavily influenced Heavy Metal.

  • Listen to Areosmith's lps called Rocks and Toys in the Attic,it may not be in the metal category but who cares..

  • I am black and I listen to it all. One thing you will with music is that so many R&B and ROCK are the same songs played a different tempos with diffrent instruments.

Just watch someone getting "Crunk" and watch someone "Headbanging" and tell me it's not all the same lol.

  • Im white and 16 and when i watched this u made so may valid points it wasnt funny u were totally correct music ahuld ne more diverse im a rock and metal jead muself but for others that cant be tru to themselve are asshole !

  • @fataloxygen You can't hear blues in Iron Maiden? Or Judas Priest? Lamb of God claimed they use the tritone in their songs and are heavily influenced by Blues. Just the idead of a distorted guitar came from the harmonica. Don't just go picking fights if your not certain.

  • @musicfolife1 metal in general is heavily influenced by jazz and blues.

  • @AgentOrange502 very true

  • @AgentOrange502 and also by classical music.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhh snap.. i know he didn't bring back jnco jeans.

  • Wut most people dont know is that we pathed the way for metal, punk, goth and, etc. All those genre originated from rock. The birth place of rock was in the black community. when rock and roll came out most white ( and some blacks) ppl thought of it to be "sinful" music bc it had reference to sex. So really theres nothing wrong with rock, metal, etc bc it came from our people.and even if it didnt music is music. you can listen to what ever the hell you feel like and still have pride in your ppl.

  • lol funny as hell dude

  • Jimmy Hendrix is rolling in his grave

  • Hey man!! Just wanted to say, hearing you talk about music.. like music doesn't have a colour, it's a vibration and naming those old artists like little richard.... Makes me fucking proud to be a metalhead. And people that think metal is for white people only??!!! FUCK THAT!!! You're not real metalheads!!! We all suposed to be tight family!!!! So FUCK all you nazi haters!!! And yess I AM WHITE!!!

PEACE to you nastyblock!!! You're a true inspiration Greetings from the Netherlands!!!!

  • great video man

  • MI a faszról beszél ez a Dagadt Nigger?

  • Who says they can't? and who cares anyway

  • Just because you look like Hughes, doesn't mean Ginsberg is out of reach.

Who in the world said you can't grow up on Earth, Wind, and Fire and come to enjoy Dethklok, or Metalica, or Johny Cash.

  • I like how we caucasian people invented the chain wallet ,I agree it depnds on the individual it would be funny to see how black guys started sporting chain wallets, hey look at them. White guys with a chain attatched their pants oh thats a wallet, hey thats not a bad idea we need to start sporting that too hahaha.

  • I'm caucasian & I have no problem with it!

  • One good thing about music, when it hits you ya feel no pain! Great point and thanks for putting it out there! \m/

  • 5:00 Dude. Metallica got me into Metal and rock in general. My first Metallica album was ...And Justice For All. I'll never forget it, i heard "The Shortest Straw" and i was Hooked! that lead to grunge, and Death metal etc. It went ALL different directions. EVERYONE should give rock and Metal a chance. that's my point. And let's not forget the origin of the double bass drum. JAZZ!!! LOTS of black people played Jazz. These two worlds can interact too! Gar Samuelson of Megadeth played JAZZ!!!

  • Awesome. Great video. Ignore the stupidity and the mindless barriers and enjoy the music. Much respect.

  • Awesome points brother. Over being a metalhead, I'm an artist, and as an artist I think it's more important to have an appreciation for all styles of music to trully have any type of depth.

  • Amen. I too had alot of the same experiences as you. I'm black and listen to everything. But, I am a Thrash Metal Head at heart. WORD.
