Awesome. The pilot seem to did not understand the reason why your always suppose to land parallel to the wave action in float and seaplanes. He landed head first into the waves. He was doing what comes natural I guess which is to land into the wind for better lift.

Its old technology. Satellites in the ski do a way better job as long as its a clear day.

I love the sound of the four engines. Great effort. I used to fly a Catalina and airspeed is really critical on the approach. Not so easy with RC. It's allot easier when you are aboard. Very nice.

Why does everyone have so much anger in them? This is a model and a great one at that, well done all round most entertaining. As for the pilot of the model he did well to recover the situation. Look at it this way: by the very nature of the beast it can't carry passengers no one died only a small amount of damage, if it were mine I would be extremely happy and pleased with the flight.. The H-4 from the Aviator was infact slightly smaller. This is 1:5 scale with a 25 foot wingspan, and the H-4 was "almost" 25 feet.-- aerotelemetryDOTcom/spruce-goo­se

This is the biggest rc seaplane(unless there has been a bigger one since)

And the number of pilots does not matter in the slightest. However, the H-4 from the Aviator only had one pilot.

And in my experience, the Japanese people that I know are pretty humble/honest.

The spruce goose from the aviator was 25 foot wingspan and 325lbs.there is pics and specs on the aviation trivia web page under spruce goose and a nice overhead pic when it was under construction

@letsgosurfin2 this is 1:5 scale exact, making it 25' span. weight is about 460 lbs. now the world's largest rc plane overall is sitting about 20 feet from me at the moment. the byron b-29 1:5 scale (29.5' span), first flown in 1987 and only need engine rebuilding and new gear.
