@no1andycar5fan Actually, no. Betta fish prefer still water and filters stress them out, not to mention they breathe air. I've mine in a 10 gallon and he's lived in there for 3 1/2 years now without a filter.

If you have a beta fish put a mirror in front of him and watch him flare out. Its really funny. (Betas are natually agressive. They're not dogs. You cant make them like that) I put a goldfish with my beta before and the beta killed it. :( If you dont have a beta watch it on youtube. AWSOME!
